“In addition to launching ComVac ASIA this year, we introduced special programs such as Industrial Supply ASIA, Battery Shanghai, Cold Chain ASIA, and LIFT SHANGHAI,” said Wolfgang Pech, Senior Vice President, Deutsche Messe AG. “We are not just selling booths. We develop our events to serve the market, which means providing a platform where exhibitors can do business; attracting the appropriate groups of qualified visitors; and providing educational and networking programs.”

PTC ASIA 2013 featured 1,600 exhibiting companies on 90,000 square meters of gross display area, with growth in both the mechanical and fluid power transmission sectors. ComVac ASIA accounted for an additional 160 exhibitors and 8,600 square meters.

Despite the recent downturn in the machinery industry, participants included such industry leaders as Bonfiglioli, Bosch Rexroth, CAMOZZI, Emerson, Parker Hannifin, SEW, Siemens, and SKF as well as companies in national pavilions from France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom, and the United States. “Companies are increasingly aware that an exhibition such as PTC ASIA is an excellent place to investigate the market, gather information and conduct trade negotiations”, said Hartmut Rauen, Managing Director, Power Transmission Engineering Association within the German Engineering Federation (VDMA).

CeMAT ASIA 2013 hosted 490 exhibitors on 37,000 square meters of gross display area. Exhibiting global players included Cascade, Daifuku, Dematic, Goodsense, Jungheinrich, KENMEC, SSI Schaefer, and Vita-Wheel. Many companies demonstrated integrated solutions that are crucial to improving efficiency in the material handling and logistics industry. “CeMAT ASIA is a good platform for our comprehensive range of products and enables us to develop more business opportunities. We demonstrated products and lots of buyers placed orders onsite,” said Alexander Oezbahadir, Manager Director, Jungheinrich.

CeMAT ASIA’s supporting program featured a free, neutral and open “Innovation Salon” where businesses, trade associations and the media were able to exchange information as well as group tours, technical forums and matchmaking and networking events.

PTC ASIA, CeMAT ASIA and ComVac ASIA are organized by Deutsche Messe AG and Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd. They will take place again from 27 to 30 October 2014 in Shanghai.
