Compact comfort in the lower horsepower range
As part of the innovation campaign of the past two years, DEUTZ-FAHR has now also updated its Agrolux model range to the state-of-the-art 4E Series. With a new bonnet design, comfort improvements and plenty of innovative technology, the tractor specialists from DEUTZ-FAHR are set to maintain their leadership status in the lower horsepower range.
There will be six new 4E Series models from 65 hp (48 kW) to 97 hp (71 kW). They will include two models with two wheel drive and four models with four wheel drive. The new 4E Series is equipped with powerful FARMotion 3-cylinder engines with new a cooling system. 30 km/h and 40 km/h transmissions are available. The front axles have been developed by SDF specifically for this horsepower segment. Two hydraulic packages and four PTO options are available. The ergonomics and comfort of the driver platform have been improved.
The new 3-cylinder FARMotion engines have been developed especially for agricultural use. They are extremely powerful, compact, reliable and economical. With the electronically-controlled common rail injection system (2,000 bar), they provide top performance and a high torque even at low speeds. This engine is Stage IIIB compliant thanks to a compact DOC catalyst integrated in the engine layout. The new cooling system integrates an intercooler and a new visco fan ensuring more efficiency, reduced power absorption and less noise. A new, two-stage PowerCore air filter ensures excellent filter performance with minimal maintenance..
All new models of the 4E Series can be optionally equipped with fully synchronised 30 km/h or 40 km/h transmissions. Two 30 km/h variants are available: 12+3 with creeper or 8+8 ECO (30 Km/h at 1,800 rpm). There are also two options for the 40 km/h transmissions. 15+15 or 15+15 ECO. A creeper range is available for both variants and the maximum speed of the ECO version is reached at 1,800 rpm.
The front axles have been specifically developed by SDF for this horsepower class. Depending on the transmission type, engagement of the differential locks and the four wheel drive can be either mechanical (for 30 Km/h) or electrohydraulic control (for 40 Km/h). The steering angle is 55° and ensures great manoeuvrability of the models of the new 4E Series. The four wheel models are equipped with two steering cylinders and 4-wheel braking. Hydraulic trailer brake, in compliance with the most recent safety directives, can be provided on request.
The rear lift system is extremely versatile. As usual with DEUTZ-FAHR, the mechanical rear linkage can be controlled very precisely. The lifting capacity is 3,500 kg. Regarding the hydraulic performance, the farmer has several options: 42 l/min or 50 l/min open center systems are available with one to three auxiliary valves. The PTO is activated mechanically,. with a smooth start-up. There are four PTO configurations: 540, 540/540ECO, 540/540ECO/1,000 and 540/540ECO plus optional ground speed PTO.
The driver platform has also been updated and all controls have been rearranged: they are now structured logically according to the frequency of use and have a clear colour marking. The new dashboard clearly displays all operating conidtions and information about the tractor. The steering wheel and the driver’s seat can be adjusted in order to provide the maximum comfort to the user. The transmission tunnel height has been halved (compared to Agrolux), providing a working area with more leg room. A specially insulated floor mat reduces noise, vibrations and heat.
With the new 4E Series, DEUTZ-FAHR presents a highly comfortable, versatile tractor series in the lower horsepower range that boasts numerous technological and comfort highlights.
