Discover Battery continues expansion in Europe

International battery manufacturer Discover Battery continues to make huge strides in the European market.

The company saw a 40 per cent increase in revenue in 2021. The uptick in sales is mainly due to its growth in the powered access, material handling and floorcare market sectors.

“We are delighted with the success our expanded operations have achieved in Europe. We will continue to invest in the region by adding new distributors along with experienced and knowledgeable staff,” says Jimmy Au, Discover Battery VP Product & Business Development. 

He highlights the strengthening of Discover Battery’s master distribution network across ten countries, setting up partners in Spain, Sweden, Greece, and Poland. Product specialists have been added to the Discover European team to provide better customer and technical support.

“We strive to give the best sales and service backup in the industry. By using the latest technology and manufacturing techniques, we will ensure that the performance of our latest ranges of batteries is second-to-none. There was an increase in demand in North America and Asia, and Discover was able to double its production output for the European market.”

Discover Battery has worked diligently to reduce supply chain disruptions caused by the global pandemic. With its European partners, additional efforts have been made to better forecast and adjust inventory levels to counter the changing market conditions and requirements.

The company has a long and successful history of supplying advanced battery products to leading powered access manufacturers across the globe, including JLG, Genie, Sinoboom, and Skyjack.

Discover recently expanded its partnership with Sinoboom that began in Asia in 2018. Sinoboom now uses the range of maintenance-free, non-spillable, DRY CELL AGM batteries for standard fitment in its booms, scissors, and vertical lift ranges. With the launch of the manufacturer’s subsidiaries in Europe, North America, and Australia, Discover batteries will now be fitted as standard across all markets.
