Featuring the heavy-duty, field-proven components that keep all Ditch Witch vacuum excavators performing strong year after year, the MV800 is built for the punishing conditions common to HDD jobsites. A commercial-grade, 31-hp (23.1-kW) Briggs & Stratton® Vanguard™ gas engine powers the MV800 and features an electric start and a high-capacity, remote air-intake filter that helps maximize performance.

The MV800’s filtration system includes an integrated carryover chamber that eliminates contaminants before they reach the blower, increasing efficiency and reducing downtime.

The MV800 is equipped with an 800-gallon (3028-L) spoils tank that is an ideal size for HDD drilling fluid cleanup jobs. With its optional reverse flow feature and optional hydraulic opening door, spoils removal is simple and efficient. The MV800 also offers an optional water system with a 100-gallon (379-L) water tank and adjustable pressure up to 3,000-psi (207-bar) for soft excavation tasks such as potholing utilities.

Like all Ditch Witch equipment, the MV800 is designed for simple operation. Its standard curbside controls enable one-person control of all functions and promote jobsite safety. Other standard safety features include a strobe light, belt guards and mechanical locks on all lift cylinders.

The entire MV800 system fits on a customized, 14,000-lb (6350-kg) GVWR trailer that is compliant with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and includes high-visibility marking and an impact guard.
