The commercial vehicle manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is now using five additional S.CS Universal semi-trailers for its truck training for professional drivers.

Mercedes-Benz utilises high-quality truck and trailer combinations to accurately mirror the drivers’ actual transport work and maximise the effectiveness of the training. With the Mercedes-Benz tractor unit, the trailer plays a decisive role when it comes to increased efficiency.

“The combination of tractor unit and semi-trailer enables the drivers to train under real-world conditions,” explains Renate Brunner, Senior Manager Sales Support, Mercedes-Benz Trucks. “We are pleased to successfully expand our long-standing and constructive partnership with these new vehicles”.

“Our semi-trailers stand for safe and efficient transport solutions. The closer the training reflects real-world transport conditions, the greater the benefit for everyone involved,” emphasises Sabine Essmann, Key Account Manager, Schmitz Cargobull.

The objective of the driver training is to show the drivers how to drive both safely and economically. Schmitz Cargobull trailers assist with more than just fuel economy. Rapid loading processes, simple load securing and a high-strength body form the foundation for trouble-free daily operation. When required, the S.CS Universal can also be modified to provide a specialised industry solution. The trailer’s contribution to the low total cost of ownership and its high-value retention appeal to all customers.
