Element Six expands tungsten carbide pick portfolio, suitable for use in road planing, soil stabilisation and cold recycling
Element Six, a world leader in supermaterials and part of the De Beers Group, has today announced the formal launch of its next generation high-quality soil stabilisation picks to meet the tool requirements of customers in the construction industry.
As one of the leading producers of road planing and soil stabilisation picks, Element Six has revealed its latest range, which includes nine new picks designed for applications in road planing, soil stabilisation and cold recycling. The new range of picks delivers the consistent high quality expected of Element Six, resulting in a longer tool lifetime and commercial advantages for end users.
The new 22mm shank pick range features a selection of MasterGradeTM picks that utilise nano-technology to enhance the cobalt binder matrix. The result is a versatile pick range with greater wear resistance and the potential extend tool life expectancy by up to 50% compared to standard picks available on the market. By cutting time-consuming pick changes, our customers see a greater return on manpower and machine assets by increasing productivity and reducing operating costs.
“Our specially developed tungsten carbide picks consistently outperform alternative material technologies” commented Markus Bening, Global Sales Director, Road, Mining & Wear Parts at Element Six. “Particularly where efficiency and accuracy are paramount, high performance, dependable tools are the most important factor.
“Through close collaboration between our engineers, R&D teams and customers, we have developed a range of shank picks that deliver operational efficiency, customer value and absolute assurance of material quality and consistency.”
The expansion of Element Six’s 22mm shank pick range is being celebrated this week in Munich at Bauma 2019, the world’s largest trade fair for construction and mining, where Element Six will be showcasing the benefits of both its tungsten carbide and synthetic diamond tools with a live wear test at booth 536 in Hall C3.
