It all began with engcon’s innovative tiltrotator in 1990. The excavator’s flexible wrist and the excavator operator’s best friend. It enables the excavator’s bucket or attachment to be tilted to 45° and rotated through 360°. On the Nordic market, tiltrotators are standard on virtually all excavators. This is justified, since they increase efficiency by up to 50%. When the excavator does not need to be moved for it to reach, when the operator does not need to leave his seat, when the excavator becomes a flexible partner, when the need for manual labour is reduced.... Everyone can understand the advantages this provides in the form of flexibility and functionality. Of course, there is then a link to profitability through a more efficient and safer workplace, where the need for constant machine movements and manual labour is reduced.

QSC new quick coupler locking system – the future of safety

No car maker would even think about changing the location of the accelerator and brake pedals on their car models, and no excavator manufacturer would switch the location between the tilt and scoop function on their excavator models. Many functions are standardised for safety reasons because mistakes could be fatal. We are now launching an innovation that gives the excavator’s bucket lock a safe standard. Here at Bauma 2016, engcon is launching its new quick coupler locking system. A unique product that standardises the process of locking and unlocking the bucket lock on excavators, regardless of make or model. Combine the new system with our Q-Safe, one of the world’s safest quick hitches, and the safe excavator of the future is here.

Innovation offers freedom of choice

During Bauma 2016, engcon will be launching several innovations that will further strengthen the customer’s safety and efficiency. QSD, Q-Safe Detachable, is an updated version of our Q-safe quick hitch. Two robust hooks on the quick hitch provide space for additional hydraulics, making it compatible with practical hydraulic attachments. At the same time we are also launching GRD, Grab Detachable – a detachable grapple that can easily be hooked in place, locked and connected to the hydraulics with a simple manoeuvre. Last but not least, SWD, Sweeper Detachable – a detachable sweeper with an adjustable width for all possible sweeping tasks.
