SILOKING’s new permanent magnet positioned on the mixing auger has been honoured with a silver medal at the EuroTier Innovation Award. Unlike any other product on the market, the new magnet housing can be dismantled from the magnet. Therefore, separated metal parts can be removed safely and easily.
The innovative design allows SILOKING ́s magnet and housing to be separated. The housing can now be removed from the magnet. This eliminates the holding force of the magnet, thus allowing to remove foreign ferritic particles, which have been separated from the feed easily and without risk of injury. “For farmers, this innovation makes cleaning the magnet much safer and more efficient. Particularly with neodymium magnets, captured foreign particles previously could be only removed with great effort. Now the user can clean the housing from the outside and does not need to overcome the holding force of the magnet. This makes the cleaning process much easier – and also eliminates the previous risk of being injured at the mixing auger. We are proud that our unique magnetic housing has been honoured with a silver medal at the EuroTier Innovation Award,” says Sales Director Sascha Behrend.
Innovative design, highly wear-resistant material
For cleaning of the permanent magnet, the operator has to place it close to the discharge door. When it is open, the outer housing can be easily unlocked using a tool that is delivered with the feed mixer and pulled outwards. Separated foreign particles can safely be removed and disposed of outside the mixing hopper.
“The stainless steel magnet housing is non-ferritic and designed not to interfere with the mixing process. In the upper area, which is exposed to the feed flow and thus requires a specific wear resistance, the proven ‘wear miracle’ SILONOX is used,” emphasises Sascha Behrend.
