Fall protection for the Loader Crane

NEW TO THE MARKET

With its own fall protection mode, PALFINGER is the only manufacturer to offer fall protection for the loader crane. FPM (fall protection mode) is available for SH and TEC 7 cranes.

If no stationary safety measures such as scaffolding or safety eyebolts are available during work at height, using fall protection on the loader crane can be a means of protecting workers. A fall arrester is mounted on the crane and the worker wears a belt harness that attaches him or her to the fall arrester. The person should be secured while the crane is at a standstill.

PALFINGER is currently the only company to offer fall protection on loader cranes, once again showing its pioneering spirit in dealing with this critical safety issue. FPM (fall protection mode) was developed by experts from Austria, Germany, Switzerland and South Tyrol, Italy, and is currently in active use only in these countries.
In addition to the technical preparation of the crane, using fall protection on the loader crane requires a detailed inspection of the situation on the construction site.

SAFETY IS THE TOP PRIORITY

Fall protection on a crane is still used only in exceptional circumstances. Subject to special requirements and strict compliance with precisely defined safety measures, fall protection mode can be used to provide fall protection on the crane. One of the requirements is that at least two people must be present: one person who is secured and one who operates the crane. When in FPM, the crane's lifting capacity reserves and the vehicle's stability are subject to the strict passenger transport specifications.

As a result, PALFINGER offers maximum safety for any work scenario.
FPM is available for the SH and TEC 7 models. Retrofitting on the above models is also possible.
