Fashion Trends, Ski Resorts, and the Latest Developments in the Asian Sports Retail Sector

At ISPO BEIJING, from February 27th to March 2nd, more than 600 brands will present their product innovations for the Asia-Pacific region on more than 40,000 square meters of exhibit space. Visiting industry professionals will not just be able to preview the latest sports business trends, but also gain information on sports fashions, the Asian sports industry and the Chinese winter sports market at a variety of conferences.

On the first trade show day, February 27th, 2013, the China Sports Fashion Trend Forum draws attention to the current developments in the sportswear industry. The program includes lectures on topics from innovation in production, seamless finishing for technical apparel, to the new color trends for fall/winter 2014/2015, as well as the China Sports Fashion Trend Report 2014 and new R&D concepts for technical products. In addition, the program includes a presentation on functionality standards for technical Outdoor apparel. The China Sports Fashion Trend Forum culminates in the presentation of the ISPO AWARD Highlights.

For the eighth time the Asia Pacific Snow Conference (APSC) will cover a wide variety of topics revolving around the development of the Asian winter sports industry. The conference, held on the second day of the trade show, brings together representatives from Chinese winter sports resorts and international experts, who will discuss topics such as the requirements to apply for the Olympic Winter Games. No less than two presentations will expound on the future of ski resorts in China. The presentations include a market analysis as well as reasons for the declining statistics in Western winter sports tourism, and how China can learn from the mistakes of the West. A report on the World Snowboarding Day in China will round out the conference.

The focus of the conference on the third trade show day is on the Asian sports industry. In the morning the ISPO Sports Industry Forums will analyze the current situation of Chinese Outdoor and Fashion-Sports retail as well as present an overview of a success story, the development of the world-renowned JanSport brand. The afternoon will cover new Chinese retail trends and the impact of the increasing digitalization of sports retail. A panel discussion with a variety of retail representatives concludes the ISPO Sports Industry Forum.
