Fliegl will be presenting its trailers at the 64th IAA in Hanover from the 20th to the 27th September with a cross-section of its modern large-scale series production. New innovative vehicles will be presented on exhibition stand C29 in hall 27 and on the adjacent open area (G65 and Q64). The central issues concerning the future of transport will be the focal point of Fliegl in 2012: Efficiency, environmental friendliness, sustainability and safety.
Modern and efficient goods traffic restrict themselves more and more to the transfer of cargo from A to B. Ecologically and economically optimized trailers for all applications in logistics, haulage and construction – this is the green road from Fliegl. Trailers and semi-trailers produced in a light weight configuration reduce the burden on the environment and fuel costs. At the same time we are continually developing trailer construction, technical innovations and the high quality of installed components, plus a stable EU compliance, long service life and cost effectiveness. Robust vehicles are secure vehicles.
Keeping the risks to the driver, freight and traffic as low as possible is of paramount importance to the designers and constructors at Fliegl. The exhibition vehicles at the IAA give an overview of the comprehensive range of load securing systems available – for flexible and safe goods transport.

Curtain Sided Semi-trailer in Standard and Mega configurations
The curtainsided trailers from Fliegl have an unladen weight of approximately 6 tonnes and achieve a payload advantage of about 800 kg over comparable vehicles from other manufacturers. The trailers are fitted with the Quick Lock system. The Fliegl design is robust, long-lasting and saves time – up to 83% when opening and closing the tarpaulin. Its mechanism has no sensitive hydraulic or pneumatic parts, it is low maintenance and not susceptible to damage. The fastening buckles do not stand out anymore, reducing the wind resistance of the trailer, CO2 emissions are reduced and the fuel consumption falls by up to 4%. The exhibition vehicles also have tyre inflation equipment, an anti-ice system and numerious load securing elements.
Container chassis Chemical Light
Fliegl constructs the chemical chassis Chemical Light for the transport of sensitive goods, the only one of its kind whose unladen weight is less than 3 tonnes. The customer profits from a considerable plus regarding payload, economy and environmental friendliness. Fliegl also achieves this low unladen weight with the tri-axle chemical chassis light, a comprehensive ADR offer. Hose holders, drip trays, stainless steel collecting troughs, earthing straps and 385/65R22.5'' tyres are all available as standard equipment.
Goose neck container chassis
Fliegl has succeeded in reducing the unladen weight, whilst at the same time creating higher stability with its new generation of goose-neck chassis – above all with its specially constructed frame, based on specific support connections. The vehicle weighs 4.8 tonnes, this means a payload gain of 200 to 300 kg when compared to competitors models. A powerful spring lock, the reinforced web plate and large locking holes make the rear extension booms more durable. The flexible chassis can carry High Cube, tank and standard containers.
Semi-trailer dumper with conical aluminum trough – light
The weight optimized chassis of the aluminum dumpers have a lot of leeway when loading and so reduce running costs. The conical trough form allows quick, even and residue free unloading with low material wear. Apart from this the trailer has reduced wind and rolling resistance, lower fuel costs and reduced CO2 emissions. This effect is further supported by the aerodynamic package: There is an approx 10% fuel saving for the Green Road version of Fliegl's semi-trailers.
Swap body trailer
Fliegl covers the entire bandwidth of logistics with its complete range of swap chassis. The trailers are available as semi-trailer, tandem and tri-axle variations for swap bodes in all the common heights. Galvanized chassis protect from corrosion and give the vehicles a long service live. At the same time Fliegl, with a lightweight design, reduces the unladen weight of the interchangeable trailer.
Dolly
The articulated dolly from Fliegl weighs up 1000 kg less than models from other manufacturers. 1000 kg of extra payload. A HGV road train consists of a power tractor with a swap body, the new articulated Fliegl dolly and curtain sider bring about a payload increase of about 6% (approx. 18500 kg instead of approx. 17500 kg). Instead of a steering axle, hydraulic cylinders in the towbar steer the Dolly round the corners. The mechanism is technically uncomplicated, not susceptible to faults, low in wear and low maintenance. In this way Fliegl dollys can effectively reduce the running costs.

Sliding floor trailer
Fliegl's Power Floor is the leader in payload capacity and with standard equipment it is available with an unladen weight of just 7 tonnes. Versatility is the trademark of the sliding floor trailer: It is suited to the transport of rubbish or pallet goods and transports agricultural products just as easily as rubbish, sand, wood chips or wood pellets. The all-rounder can be used in agricultural logistics and the energy industry. Its flexibility makes it an ideal connection between the fields and the road.
Tandem haulage trailer with through loading system
Fliegl platform trailers are versatile vehicles for distribution transport. They offer a large selection of models with many equipment variations. On offer are five load lengths, six load heights and payload capacities between 6 and 19 tonnes. In addition to this the system make possible the loading and unloading of HGV and trailer on a single ramp without shunting. An aluminum drive over flap creates the connection between the door in the rear of the tractor unit and the front portal of the trailer.
Taking on responsibilities and the highest demands on your own product – this is passion for trailers. For this purpose Fliegl not only applies over 20 years of experience, bur also uses one of the most modern production plants in Europe. At Fliegl, know-how and ideas turn into quality and quantity.
