For more efficiency on the job site: the new excavators from Wacker Neuson

The three new ET65, ET90, and EW65 excavators facilitate quick and easy work

Wacker Neuson is setting standards for efficiency with the two new ET65 and ET90 track excavators and the EW65 mobile excavator. The models feature new bucket kinematics with substantially improved rotation angle, breakout force, and force distribution. Thanks to well-thought-out functions, such as the load-sensing hydraulic schematic for the simple and exact operation of the excavator, the large range of attachments, and the ECO mode for fuel savings of up to 20 per cent, contractors can benefit from more precise, rapid, and efficient work.

"At Wacker Neuson, customers and their added value have always been at the forefront of everything we do. This is clearly reflected in our three new models of excavators. Technical innovation provides for the simple and intuitive operation of the machine, as well as for efficiency in use," says Dieter Freisler, European Regional President of Wacker Neuson. A simple yet efficient innovation has led to a substantial increase in performance: The models feature new bucket kinematics, which markedly improved the rotation angle, breakout force, and excavation performance. This makes the three new excavators the best in their class in the area of excavation power, and customers can benefit from the efficient working principle of the machines.

An additional advantage for contractors is the high efficiency of the three new models of excavators: the ET65, ET90, and the EW65. Because of the diesel engines, which comply with emission standard IIIB, and the new hydraulic schematic, the machines use up to 20 per cent less fuel, which protects the environment and reduces costs. An additional advantage is the intuitive operation of the machines: The load-sensing hydraulic schematic with variable displacement pump enables a simple and exact operation. The operator can thus use the joystick to perform simultaneous movements. The operating speed of all movements is always constant and independent of the load, which enables simple and comfortable work for the operator. A maximum hydraulic output is achieved with minimum movement of the joystick.

The new excavators at a glance

Especially in confined spaces, precise work is often a challenge for the operator. At 2.5 meters high and just 2 meters wide, the 6-ton ET65 track excavator is extremely maneuverable, which enables the operators to work safely and accurately, even in confined spaces. The optional adjustable boom, which is only available from Wacker Neuson in this class and which gives the track excavator additional flexibility, provides extra reach, digging depth, and dumping height. The wide range of attachments also contributes to this.

Even for demanding applications such as road and highway construction, the engine output of 55.4 kW/75.3 hp and the excavation power of the 9-ton ET90 excavator are sure to impress. The load-sensing hydraulic schematic contributes to high machine efficiency. For the ET90 excavator — as well as the other models — a clearly laid out cabin provides safety. The operator always has the construction site and the attachment clearly in view, as good visibility is essential for safe and precise work. By modifying the arrangement of the boom and motor, the field of view could be further optimized.

Powerful: underway and on site

Their great flexibility, high level of efficiency, and easy transport on their own two axles make mobile excavators popular in the construction industry and municipalities. The new EW65 mobile excavator has at its disposal an infinitely variable drive from 0 to 20 km/h. Thanks to the road travel mode, no transport vehicle is required when changing job site. Contractors can thus save effort and costs! A further advantage of the new model is that in working mode, the attachments can also be used during the trip.

Excavators in the tonnage class of the three new models are popular because they are both powerful and compact, which makes them particularly versatile. The new ET65, ET90, and EW65 excavators will be available as of autumn 2015.
