GENIE TURNS THE SPOTLIGHT ON INNOVATION AND SERVICE AT INTERMAT

The Genie team will be TAKING YOU HIGHER at Intermat 2015. Demonstrating an on-going commitment to improvement, the brand will be showcasing seven new and long-time best-selling products from 20th to 25th April at the Parc des Expositions, Paris-Nord Villepinte on stand E5 E 010.

The highlights of the show will be the Genie® GS™-4069 bi-energy hybrid rough terrain scissor lift, new all-electric Genie® Z™-33/18 articulated boom lift, new Genie® Z™-62/40 diesel articulating boom lift, Genie® GTH™-4014 telehandler and towering Genie® SX-180 boom lift.

Visitors to the Genie stand will also learn how the new Genie® Service Solutions package helps customers respond to changing application needs and adds value to their business.

Genie Bi-Energy (BE) scissor lift series

Providing a working height of 14.12 m (46 ft) and a lift capacity of up to 363 kg (800 lbs), the new Genie GS-4069 BE hybrid scissor lift is one of three models in the new Genie Bi-Energy hybrid scissor lift series. These new machines are rough terrain, high performance electric scissor lifts with an integrated generator to charge the batteries and supply power to the platform and chassis. Offering exceptionally versatile jobsite capabilities, Genie BE hybrid scissor lifts combine two operating modes to meet the needs of both outdoor jobsites with no onsite power, and indoor jobsites with sensitive noise and emission environments.

Highly-innovative Genie self-propelled articulated boom lifts

With the recent introduction of several new boom lifts models, Genie continues to set the standard for innovation

Genie SX-180 boom lift: Designed to meet the increasing challenges of today’s towering oil and gas refinery, chemical, shipyard, general construction and maintenance tasks, the Genie SX-180 boom lift is one of the highest reaching machines of its kind on the market. Providing the benefits of both vertical and horizontal jib rotation to position workers and gear exactly where they are needed, this machine combines the benefits of high-precision access and place­ment up to 56.86 m (186 ft), with a horizontal outreach of up to 24.4 m (80 ft). Thanks to its compact Genie X-chassis™ system, the axles of the Genie SX-180 boom lift are rapidly extendable and retractable to combine the stability required on the job with a narrow profile for ease of transport.

Genie Z™-33/18 all-electric boom lift: Built in Europe to suit the needs of the European market, this versatile articulating Genie® boom lift model weighs only 3640 kg (8025 lbs) and offers a ground clearance of 15 cm (5.9 in). Particularly well-suited to applications on sensitive surfaces inside airports, shopping centres and theatres - in addition to routine outdoor maintenance tasks, the new Z-33/18 lift is designed to help increase efficiency on jobsites where space is tight. Its key features include solid non-marking or optional multi-surface tyres, long working cycles due to a low-consumption AC drive transmission, a tight turning radius for excellent manoeuvrability, the ability to drive at maximum height, plus the benefits of the Genie® FastMast™ boom system that shortens ground-to-top lifting time.

Genie® Z™-62/40 boom lift: The new Z™-62/40 boom lift benefits from significant improvements. compared to its predecessor Z™-60/34. The Z-62/40 diesel powered boom lift increases working height from 20.39 m (66 ft 4 in) to 20.87 m (67 ft 11in) and horizontal outreach from 11.05 m (36 ft 3 in) to 12.47 m (40 ft 11 in). Providing a maximum lift capacity of 227 kg (500 lbs), up-and-over clearance has also been increased from 7.80 m (25 ft 7) to 8.13 m (26 ft 8 in). Further enhancements include zero rear tail swing, reduced front turntable swing in stowed position, plus the ability to reach 1.68 m (5 ft 6 in) below grade. All of these features are available on a diesel-powered machine that weighs only 10.430 kg (23,000 lbs) and stows to the compact size of 7.58 m (24 ft and 10.5 in) with the jib in folded position.

Redesigned Stage IIIB Genie-GTH series telehandlers

In response to customer feedback and in compliance with upcoming exhaust emission regulations, Genie has upgraded its telehandler products. The result is a range of new models combining enhanced productivity and operator comfort well-suited to construction, waste and recycling, industrial and logistics applications. Focusing on energy efficiency, simple operation and innovative serviceability features for straight-forward maintenance, the newly improved models of the Genie telehandler series also feature a cabin providing excellent visibility to handle tough tasks productively and safely in virtually any environment. Showcased at Intermat, and including the upgrades outlined above, the GTH 4014 telehandler provides a lift capacity of up to 4 t, a lifting height of 14 m (46 ft) and is equipped with a 75kW Stage IIIB compliant Perkins engine which drives all four wheels through a hydrostatic transmission offering travel speeds of up to a 30km/h (18.6 mph). Combining the benefits of a class leading 3.8 m (12.5 ft) outside turning radius with the narrowest overall machine width in its class, the GTH-4014 telehandler is highly manoeuvrable and well-matched for work in congested and confined workspaces.

The Genie Service Solutions team will also be on hand to present the advantages of its new Service Solutions aftermarket package at Intermat. The aim of this flexible and comprehensive service solution is to provide customers the expert support they need to keep their machines well-maintained, certified and safe to operate and focus on what matters most to their business: increased equipment utilization and end-user satisfaction.
