Hiab delivers thirty MULTILIFT hooklifts for Dutch Fire Service

Hiab, part of Cargotec, has won together with Mercedes Benz a tender to deliver thirty MULTILIFT XR 18S53 hooklifts to Dutch Fire Service during the next four years.The order includes installing MULTILIFT XR 18S53 hooklifts on the Mercedes trucks. First product handovers will take place in June 2016, and orders will be booked per handover.

"MULTILIFT is a very strong brand in the Netherlands, and we are really happy that the Dutch Fire Service chose us as their partner yet again," says Gaston van Kleef, Head Sales & Service Benelux, Hiab. 

"These units will have to work in moments when there is a lot at stake. During the product presentation, the Fire Service was impressed by the "bolt on" concept and the MULTILIFT Second Generation Control System, really showing long lifetime and reliability. With the special configuration, the Fire Service is able to load all available containers within its organisation, which is a big advantage for them. Additionally, MULTILIFT is a frontrunner in automatic control, which means that everyone at the Fire Service can control the demountable system conveniently," van Kleef concludes.

Hiab and Mercedes will present the first unit at the eRIC fair in June this year.
