Hiab, part of Cargotec Corporation, celebrated the opening of a dedicated service centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in February. The service centre is owned and managed by Hiab's services and installation partner Al Mazrooei Engineering Services L.L.C., and it will be part of Hiab's global service centre network.

The service centre will perform the installation of new equipment and provide maintenance and services to customers' used equipment with a staff of around 25 service technicians and related support personnel. It focuses on services to customers in and around the UAE, but it will provide installation services also for customers located across the Middle East and North East Africa.

"We have cooperated with our trusted partner Al Mazrooei Engineering Services L.L.C. for a long time and we requested Mr. Pradeep Raman, Managing Director of the company, to help us develop a service centre that was accessible for all our Middle East and North East African customers. The majority of our customers operate in the construction sector where the uninterrupted operation of equipment is critical in large building projects. Since this is a dedicated service centre, it will reduce the lead time for customer service and enable us to work even more closely with customers to provide tailored services."
