Hitachi introduces the ZW-6 compact wheel loaders

Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME) will exhibit its new range of compact wheel loaders at Bauma. Designed and engineered to meet the demands of the European market, and manufactured in Germany, the new models offer exceptional levels of performance without compromising on efficiency.

Incorporating market-leading technology, the ZW65-6, ZW75-6 and ZW95-6 have been designed with an emphasis on the environment and operator safety. Ideal for a wide range of applications, they are extremely versatile, comfortable to operate, and offer an exceptional standard of reliability.

Several features highlight the versatility of the 4.7 to 5.4-tonne machines. With an overall height of 2.4 metres, they are easy to move on a trailer, and the ZW65-6 and ZW75-6 have optional 30km/h travel speeds. Attachments can be connected quickly and easily with the electro-hydraulically operated quick coupler. Improved visibility of the fork attachment from the cab enables greater precision and has a positive impact on safety on a variety of job sites.

Safety and visibility are also enhanced by the 360° panoramic view from the spacious cab. Further high-quality design elements of the new compact wheel loaders include ergonomically designed controls. The self-stabilising articulated pendulum joint increases stability and results in higher levels of durability and control.

The durability of the compact wheel loaders is also demonstrated by the high-performance single arm with a low-torsion, rigid profile. Less torsion on the boom results in greater precision during levelling. The arm’s hosing and wiring are located internally, protecting vital components.

The new Deutz Stage IIIB-compliant engine* contains a cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system, common rail technology and a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC). This results in low maintenance and exceptional reliability with a 500-hour engine service interval. The cover is easy to open for convenient access to the engine compartment, diesel tank and fuel filter. This helps to ensure routine maintenance is completed quickly for minimal downtime and high availability.
