  • Hitachi will showcase the ZX210LC-7 medium excavator at Bauma 2025, featuring Europe's first collision mitigation machine control system for excavators.

  • The Advanced Aerial Angle camera system on the ZX210LC-7 prevents collisions by decelerating or stopping travel and swing motions, and provides audio and visual warnings.

  • The ZX210LC-7 is equipped with a Trimble 3D machine guidance system, enhancing safety and efficiency, and can be factory-fitted in Amsterdam.

  • The ZX210LC-7 offers up to 11% less fuel consumption than previous models, thanks to Hitachi’s TRIAS III hydraulic system.

  • The excavator features a first-class cab with ergonomic design, low noise levels, and reduced vibration, enhancing operator comfort.

  • Hitachi’s remote monitoring systems, Owner’s Site and ConSite, provide vital operational data and real-time alerts, improving fleet management and reducing downtime.

One of the most popular Hitachi Zaxis-7 models on display at Bauma 2025, the ZX210LC-7 medium excavator, will be exhibited with the first collision mitigation machine control system for excavators in Europe.

The Advanced Aerial Angle camera system prevents collisions by decelerating or stopping travel and swing motions when an object is detected. It also provides audio and visual warnings for both the operator and other personnel on the job site. In addition, the ZX210LC-7 is equipped with a Trimble 3D machine guidance system, which can be fitted at the Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV factory in Amsterdam.

Increase safety

In addition to the safety and efficiency benefits of the above systems, the Hitachi ZX210LC-7 already offers a superior view of the job site. The excellent visibility is helped by the exceptional 270-degree bird’s-eye view provided by the original Aerial Angle camera system. LED work lights and a windscreen wiper with an increased sweeping area enable operators to work with confidence in difficult conditions.

Improve profit

Hitachi Zaxis-7 excavators have been designed to the highest quality, and the ZX210-7 delivers up to 11% less fuel consumption than the previous models. Hitachi’s industry-leading hydraulic system, TRIAS III, ensures that a high level of performance is achieved in every application.

In addition, owners can boost their profits by working on a wider range of projects thanks to the excellent versatility of Zaxis-7 excavators. A variety of specifications means that the ZX210-7 can meet the requirements of any job site, including mono and two-piece boom, and long (LC) and narrow (LCN) undercarriage options for optimal stability or easy transportation. Different attachments are quickly changed using the enhanced attachment support system on the monitor.

Feel the difference

The ultra-spacious ZX210-7 offers a first-class cab with the ultimate in comfort and quality, as well as some of the lowest noise levels in the market and 16% less vibration than the previous generation.

Easy operation comes from the ergonomic design of the console and switches, and convenient access to controls. The menu can be navigated quickly on the 8” LCD monitor with the multifunctional controller and the hi-res anti-glare screen is also easier to view. In addition, the layout offers a clear display and desirable functionality – such as air conditioning, DAB+ radio and Bluetooth®.

Boost uptime

The latest Hitachi medium excavators have been built to last, so that owners can remain in complete control of their assets. They have been tested rigorously and continuously at dedicated facilities in Japan with the goal of significantly boosting uptime. Features such as the wider door and cover openings on the ZX210-7 provide easier and quicker access for daily inspections to minimise downtime.

Fleet management

Hitachi remote monitoring systems enable owners to feel in total control of their fleet and workload with access to vital data courtesy of Owner’s Site and ConSite. Both systems send operational data via GPRS or satellite from the excavator to Global e-Service on a daily basis. ConSite summarises the information in a monthly email, and the ConSite Pocket app shows real-time alerts for any potential issues.

A unique innovation continuously monitors the quality of engine and hydraulic oil, 24/7. Data is transmitted daily via two oil sensors to Global e-Service. These detect if the oil quality has deteriorated, due to contamination or low viscosity. It reduces maintenance and unscheduled downtime, and gives owners peace of mind thanks to scheduled servicing and a higher resale value.

Value-added solutions

“We’re excited to present the Advanced Aerial Angle camera system and Trimble 3D machine guidance on the popular ZX210LC-7 excavator at Bauma this year,” says Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV Product Manager Burak Besler. “Owners and operators are at the heart of our solutions, and this shows how we are continuously improving our products with the help of partners to meet demands for increased safety and efficiency.”
