The original hybrid pioneer of the construction industry – Kobelco – is previewing the SK210LC Generation 10 Hybrid at Bauma 2016 ahead of its European introduction in 2017. The machine exhibited by Kobelco Construction Machinery Europe B.V. (KCME) will be a Japanese version, but will give visitors to the show an idea of what they can expect from the latest addition to the product range.

The focus on unmatched fuel economy is as strong now as it was when the Japanese machine was first launched. KCME is targeting outstanding fuel consumption with the Generation 10 base model, with savings of 15% compared with a conventional energy-efficient Generation 10 model.

Unlike competitor models, the Kobelco machine’s innovative design incorporates battery power. The battery can retain a greater volume of energy for longer to support higher engine output and improved fuel consumption, without compromising on the machine’s excellent digging performance capabilities.

The European introduction of the machine, and its unique product design, are another demonstration of Kobelco’s commitment to the company’s We Save You Fuel engineering philosophy.

Additional benefits of the Kobelco hybrid hydraulic excavator technology include its ability to even-out loading on the engine, which in turn saves excess energy from light loads to assist when needed for a heavy load. The intelligent machine recovers energy from swing deceleration and stores it for maximum performance and operator support.

To find out more about the machine and how to pre-order, visit the KCME stand at Bauma. Alternatively, full machine specifications and an easy-to-view directory of the European, Russia & CIS and Maghred Kobelco dealer network are available at www.kobelco-europe.com.
