Hyundai Excavators for Haiti Earthquake Relief

Hyundai Heavy Industries dispatched a 21 ton class excavator and an 11 ton class excavator and operators to Haiti.

The company is also supplying technical support for equipment repair and maintenance after discussions with the Korean Embassy for Haiti in Dominican Republic and the Red Cross Society.

The excavators from Hyundai Heavy’s dealer in Dominica and Hyundai Construction Equipment USA. Inc. will be used in emergency relief efforts in Haiti.

“The rescue efforts are facing troubles due to a lack of equipment and manpower. It looks like a war zone, and they do not have enough resources to save all the lives that they could. As a company which works in America, Hyundai Heavy is eager to save lives in this humanitarian crisis,” said an HHI spokesperson.Hyundai Heavy is considering additional ways to provide support.
