Hyundai Heavy Industries Europe presents new 8-t Forklift with Stage IV engine

Intermat 2015 in Paris is the ideal platform to launch the new Hyundai Diesel Forklift Truck 80D-9. This type of forklift can be used in building material factories as well as on large construction sites, ports and heavy industry.

Powered by a Stage IV Cummins engine QSF3.8 producing 75 kW, the South Korean manufactured lift truck, is on the cutting edge of engine technology. In order to comply with the latest emission standards, Stage IV, Hyundai has chosen for a highly sophisticated engine technology with Ad Blue after treatment system. In addition, this system results in a reduction of fuel consumption of 3 to 6% depending on the type of application.

Extra driver comfort

A new compact chassis with rounded counterweight, wet-disc brakes and a soundproof cabin with low vibration levels are all features that benefit the forklift driver during a long working day. Lifting capacity of the 80D-9 is 8,000 kg at 600 mm load center - triplex masts extend to reach lifting heights of up to 6,060 mm and now with even better residual lifting capacity. Duplex masts go up to 7,540 mm. All lifting masts feature sideshifter, forkpositioner and very high residual capacities.

Easy to manoeuvre

Manoeuvrability and speed are the top priorities for operators of this type of material handling machine. Hyundai has designed the drive train for a gradeability of 35% with load - and for a speed of up to 35 kph. Energy efficiency, quiet and low-vibration drivetrain are equally as important to the operator as lifting masts complete with excellent viewing angles.

Advanced hydraulics

Four hydraulic control circuits come as standard on the 80D-9 which are controlled by proportional levers. A hydraulic pilot system with small levers makes this machine easy and precise to handle. All service points are centralized and accessible from ground level. For ease of maintenance, a standard electric system tilts the cabin sideways.
