The sales department at Fliegl Trailer has been very hard at work in recent days. This follows a successful IAA, after which our customer advisers went back to work at their offices. "The trade fair has brought in hundreds of enquiries", says Max Krüger. "We're now registering numerous new contacts, doing calculations, sending out offers, and processing the orders that we received directly in Hanover." On the 25th birthday of Fliegl Trailer, the theme of their trade fair presentation was sustainability, which chimed with the zeitgeist and struck a chord with the sector. Fliegl presented nine sustainable utility vehicles and put forward convincing arguments backed up by impressive performance data and real financial benefits. Managing director Helmut Fliegl: "The way into people's minds is though their wallets, that's perfectly normal. We have demonstrated to the public that sustainable vehicles pay for themselves. Day after day, year on year. If you can offer not just economic benefits but also ecological advantages, then people come away convinced. And we have succeeded in doing just that. By presenting facts, not castles in the air."
The flagships of Fliegl's fleet at the IAA were the two Twin 200 curtainside trailers (RoadRunner and MegaRunner). With their proven toll-charge saving and fuel-saving potential of € 6660 per year, these twin-axle trailers were one of the highlights of the IAA. "The Twins are and will remain in the fast lane. The future belongs to them", said Helmut Fliegl. Prospective buyers from the construction sector were especially attracted to the GreenLine tipper trailer with its high-strength HB110 aluminium body and 30 tonne payload, and to the DTS 300 Greenlight payload giant. This robust flatbed trailer achieves a loading potential of 24.5 tonnes. Fliegl also demonstrated its load-securing expertise with the Greenlight Coil semitrailer. This vehicle was presented as a flatbed, which was used to demonstrate a variety of load-securing systems developed by Fliegl: Load-Lock Profile, Load-Lock Cross, Vario Lash, Heavy Pallet Stop and Fliegl's brand-new Vario Wall: Vario Wall acts as a sort of additional bulkhead, which is pushed along the pallet stop and can be placed at different positions –while in the assembled state! Vario Wall can hold lashing straps and provides supports for Vario beams and battens. Vario Wall can be fully disassembled without complications.
IAA 2016 is now history. The Fliegl Trailer Team have gone through nine hard but exciting, inspiring and motivating days at the trade fair. IAA 2016 is now history. But we will continue to say: Fliegl makes green pay!
