IE expo China 2017 expands its range of exhibits

  • New segments: Sponge city technologies, and street cleaning and maintenance

  • High demand from the fields of air pollution control, and water and wastewater management

  • Numerous registrations already

From May 4 through 6, 2017, IE expo China will bring together the entire Asian environmental sector at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). Participants of the trade fair can already look forward to a bigger range of exhibits. Sponge city technologies, and street cleaning and maintenance are two further segments being added to the range. IE expo China is thus taking account of current and future needs in the Asian environmental market.

IE expo China is providing new impetus for the industry with the new exhibition areas. Stefan Rummel, CEO of Messe München, explains: "We are thus strengthening growth topics that will influence the Asian market in the future, and creating added value for IE expo China exhibitors and specialist visitors alike. The open air grounds of the SNIEC, where large exhibits can be presented, will also be available for the field of street cleaning and maintenance."

The expanded exhibition model is popular, as Katharina Schlegel, new exhibition director for the IFAT international trade fairs, confirms: "We have already allocated 60 percent more space than a year ago. IE expo China 2017 is experiencing a particular boost from the fields of air pollution control, and water and wastewater management."

Numerous key players from the industry are also represented again this year. A country pavilion for the EU states is also new. Other joint contributions from the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, South Korea, Switzerland, and the United States are planned.
