'Increase' of Gerken's truck loaded working platform fleet

The working platform fleet of Gerken will be expanded in these days with more STEIGER ® of the type T 170, TU 285, T 300 and T 400. With these platform types, we deliver creative technology, combined with optimal performance, stability and security.

According to the statement of Christian Gerken, the owner and Managing Director of the working platform rental company, we have proven ourselves as its reliable and innovative partner in the truck mounted aerial platforms segment. Our STEIGER ®’s are perfectly tailored to its rental demand. Therefore, Gerken has ordered more than 20 truck mounted aerial platforms exclusively with us to an amount of about 3 million euros for the current fiscal year.

Short information on the delivered machines:

TU 285:
Thanks to its compact size (6.96 m total length - short wheelbase of 3.60 m and clearance height of 3.69 m), combined with the ‘rear-end positioning’ of the boom system, our TU 285 guarantees easy handling in tight traffic situations. So this STEIGER ® type from Gerken can be rented to trade companies or to tree trimming companies as well as to municipal utilities, public utilities or power companies.

T 170:
The delivered T 170 - mounted on 7.49 t chassis - is robust and compact, equipped with vertical jacks and a full basket load of 350 kg and 600 kg payload. In addition, the T 170 scores with a working height of 17 m and 12 m outreach.

T 300:
The striking performance of the 30 m working height of the T 300 merges with an enormous range of 21 m and optimum chassis dimensions (short overall length of only 8.19 meters and wheelbase of 3.90 m).

T 400:
With the supplied HEIGHT performance model Gerken covers the increased demand - mainly from network operators – for working platforms of the 40 m-class. A key factor for this is the consistent development of LTE transmission networks.

We are happy to keep you informed about further deliveries of this extensive major contract from the beginning of 2016.
