A lot more options
The relocation of the welding competence centre operated by Blumenbecker Industriebedarf GmbH has finally been completed, following the transfer of the last few employees from Soest to Beckum. “The new location affords us a lot more options,” says Michael Kerßenfischer, welding technology sales manager at Industriebedarf.
For one thing, there’s more space to showcase the firm’s products. For another, the proximity to Industriebedarf’s central warehouse makes it possible to store special materials offsite and yet retrieve them quickly when required.
Other improvements concern the space allotted to demonstrations and welding tests. Not only has it been enlarged, but its safety features have also been upgraded. “Welding releases particles that fall under the Hazardous Substances Ordinance,” says Kerßenfischer. “For this reason, welding workstations need to fulfil special requirements, and our workstations meet them all.”
