ISPO MUNICH Continues Its History of Success

ISPO MUNICH continues its successful run in 2013. The international leading sports business platform experienced yet another increase in net exhibit space of close to two percent compared to the same period last year, to more than 104,500 square meters. It may break records: two months before the trade show opens its doors the entire exhibit area of Messe München is fully booked.

In 2013 more than 2,000 international exhibitors will once again present the entire bandwidth of sporting goods from the Outdoor, Ski, Action and Performance Sports segments at ISPO MUNICH. As the world’s only multi-segment trade show no other event offers a better overview of the products, trends and innovations from the entire industry. In addition to other well-known business greats this year’s event has drawn a number of key players such as Quiksilver, Joma, Katadyn, Woolf Running and Outpac as new exhibitors. This means that the trade show will not just maintain the high level of quality it has offered during prior years, but increase its value thanks to a higher degree of exhibit hall use as well as the trend to larger display booths.

With the goal to maintain its key position as the world’s leading sports business network in the future, ISPO’s mission is to tap and support new markets. A number of platforms at ISPO MUNICH offer in-depth networking between sports and industry:

ISPO Healthstyle, which celebrated its debut last year, will be continued in February 2013 at ISPO MUNICH with the second ISPO Health Forum and a dedicated exhibition space. Healthstyle embodies a new lifestyle combing sports and health – slated to change the sporting goods market as well as the healthcare industry with the help of product innovations, high-quality design and new customer groups.

All industry participants can visit seminars, conferences, presentations and workshops at the ISPO Academy, to help them gain an even more successful position within the international competition. The spectrum of topics at ISPO MUNICH ranges from E-Commerce and Cross-Channeling, Future Shop Strategies to Design. First-rate presenters such as Jordi Urbea, General Director of the renowned PR and communication agency Ogilvy, have already confirmed their participation in the Munich event.

Manufacturers of textile base products such as fabrics, membranes and zippers receive the opportunity to present their innovations on a dedicated platform, the ISPO Texttrends Forum. Designers and product managers can gain information on textile innovations quickly and efficiently in one, central location at ISPO MUNICH 2013.

For years, the ISPO Snow Ice & Rock Summit has been a popular get-together for the Outdoor, Ski and Backcountry industry. In 2013 it will be no different thanks to a multi-faceted program ranging from the official Outdoor Fashion Show, the DAV Boulder Cup to the ISPO AWARD Presentation.

Furthermore, a number of different ISPO Services are available as helpful tools for industry members. In cooperation with partner Sport-Job ISPO launched a new international job exchange. ISPO JOBS offers one of the industry’s most comprehensive job exchanges networking sports business professionals and available job offers.

Networking and new contacts is also the goal of the new ISPO CONNECT online service. Simply set up your personal profile compete with your areas of interest, offered services and desired target groups at www.ispo.com/connect prior to ISPO MUNICH 2013, and receive a list of partners selected according to these criteria by the intelligent online platform.
