JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company and a leading global manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telehandlers, supports customers with premium JLG® equipment and a comprehensive portfolio of support solutions including multiple equipment options, parts, service and training opportunities with a clear focus on delivering value to its customers through the equipment’s complete lifecycle. Several of its traditional and latest offerings, designed to drive down total cost of ownership were featured at Gold Lot booth #G3946 during CONEXPO 2017.

As with any customer relationship, the brand experience starts with the purchase of a machine, be it new, through JLG’s used equipment website www.jlgused.com or via a private sale. Certified, pre-owned equipment is also available from JLG and is the first program of its kind in the access industry, providing a reliable, lower-cost alternative for acquiring quality access equipment.

While competitive OEMs may stop at offering new products and traditional parts and service, JLG has a steady, long-term focus on expanding its product offerings, which today include three parts options, JLG Genuine, JLG Reman and MaxQuip™ competitive brand parts. This three tiered approach makes the company a single-source resource to JLG customers, as well as to those with mixed fleets.

In addition, JLG’s Las Vegas-based west coast Parts Distribution Center (PDC) is opening this month. The grand opening of this dedicated PDC marks the first of two the company plans in 2017. The second will be in Atlanta and open later this year, with additional locations planned in 2018. These two, strategic locations have been selected based on geography and transportation systems to ensure quick delivery of JLG parts to customers across the country. All available parts can be shipped with next-day delivery in North America. Customers can order parts offerings online or through a retail order hotline at 877-JLG-LIFT.

Focusing on industry leadership, JLG opened its exclusive customer training center and proving grounds in McConnellsburg, PA in 2014. Since that time, the company has steadily grown its range of on-site and online training opportunities. Customers can choose among a variety of courses to become a certified operator or operator trainer for AWP’s and telehandlers. The courses can be taken at the training center or locally depending on the customers’ needs and the number of employees to be qualified.

“Our training center has been a resounding success,” states Rick Smith, senior director global product training at JLG Industries, Inc. “Every year we continue to add additional classes to meet market demand. As greater demand is generated for our courses, we continue to look for ways to maintain and grow our offerings.”

AccessReady, the newest JLG training platform launched last week at the ARA Rental Show, is an example of JLG’s expanding training opportunities. The system is designed to connect operators who want to use JLG® and competitive model AWPs and telehandlers safely and efficiently with JLG qualified trainers in their area. AccessReady trains operators on specific categories of equipment such as AWPs or telehandlers and is not brand specific. Any operator who successfully completes the training is qualified for three years on telehandlers and indefinitely for AWPs.

“As our business has matured, we have continued to add a wide-range of products and services to better support our customers. JLG’s comprehensive offering is unrivaled in the access industry – reinforcing our commitment to the customer from the day of purchase until the end of a machine’s lifecycle,” said Jonathan Dawley, global vice president, aftermarket at JLG Industries, Inc. “Our end-to-end solutions ensure JLG customers receive the best service and support, wherever they are located, with the ultimate goal of reducing total cost of ownership and gaining optimal resale value.”

All customers, regardless of their purchase will have peace of mind, knowing JLG engineers have designed their newly acquired JLG access equipment with similar parts, controls and technology for ease of operation, training and maintenance, as well as simplification of parts ordering and stocking to drive a strong return on investment.

As their JLG equipment ages, the company offers a factory reconditioning program to extend the machine’s lifecycle. A rigorous 11-day process restores the machine to its original specification, inside and out. Factory-trained experts follow strict guidelines and use genuine parts to deliver fully inspected, like-new equipment with a best-in-class warranty.

A strong service arm with 71 customer support service centers and 400 trained technicians across the U.S. and Canada ensures optimal uptime and productivity. Each location is fully equipped to perform light and heavy repairs, contract and preventive maintenance, as well as inspections. 150 additional mobile service vehicles are dispatched on demand for field repair work to keep machines on the job site, helping to keep projects on schedule and budgets in check.

“These are just some of the advanced solutions from JLG that drive down the cost of business for our customers and set JLG apart as a leader in the access industry,” said Dawley. “We’re excited to carry on what has become a tradition of innovation, as we grow our support solutions in fresh new ways, continually applying our access industry expertise to partner with our customers to meet today’s job site challenges and anticipate tomorrow’s job site needs.”
