John Deere 5R Series sets a new fluid efficiency benchmark

John Deere’s all new 5R Series have been designed to meet the requirements of small and medium sized arable, dairy and livestock farms. Building on the strengths of the previous 5R, the 5125R has recently set a new fuel efficiency record at the DLG test centre.

Having undergone the demanding PowerMix test at the DLG test center in Groß Umstadt (Germany) the tractor achieved a new record among the compact, and even the less than 150 hp tractors. The new 5R, with the John Deere Diesel-only technology, recorded at the DLG a total fluid consumption across all the PowerMix field cycles of only 265 g/kWh. Comparable tractors in this horsepower class consume 284* to 289 g/kWh. This great achievement of the 5R tractors will definitely help customers to significantly reduce their operation costs.

*284 g/kWh [273 g diesel and regeneration + 11 g urea]
