At Jungheinrich, Intralogistics 4.0 has already been instilled with life
Jungheinrich will present integrated solutions to the challenges of Intralogistics 4.0 under the motto CONNECTIVITY FOR YOUR BUSINESS to an international audience of experts at LogiMAT 2017 in Stuttgart, Germany. With a total exhibition space of 804 square meters, Jungheinrich is the trade show's largest exhibitor yet again this year.
The company will showcase its product and solution innovations at Booth 9B05 in Hall 9. This is where visitors can see the comprehensive offering of holistic intralogistics solutions by Jungheinrich in action—featuring state-of-the-art material handling equipment, logistics systems, software and digital solutions.
"Jungheinrich offers its customers tailor-made solutions to the complex challenges of the megatrends: digitization, networking and automation. At Jungheinrich, Intralogistics 4.0 has already been instilled with life. Thanks to our wide range of solutions, we create added value for our customers,” says Dr. Lars Brzoska, the member of the Jungheinrich Board of Management in charge of sales and marketing. "Everyone gets the best solution for meeting their internal needs from us. This is the experience we will offer at LogiMAT. Visitors to our booth will be provided a hands-on experience of intralogistics solutions. One highlight are our newest driverless transport vehicles such as the EZS350a tow tractor and the EKS215a vertical order picker, which will prove their skills live at LogiMAT."
Additional Information
Jungheinrich's 2017 Forklifts
Among the product novelties displayed by Jungheinrich at LogiMAT is the new ERE electric powered pallet truck. It performs its tasks more efficiently than any other forklift in its class and is the shortest and fastest truck with the highest handling turnover rate on the market. Also on exhibit is the EMD 115i: this lithium-ion battery-powered forklift is the world's shortest universal truck and a title contender for the 2017 IFOY. In addition, Jungheinrich will showcase the new ETV Q20/Q25—a completely revamped multi-directional reach truck for applications in extremely tight quarters that can flexibly lift loads with a width of up to 12 meters to heights of up to 10.7 meters thanks to its adjustable fork arms. Jungheinrich is strengthening its leading role as a logistic system provider with new driverless transport vehicles. The EZS350a automated tow tractor can easily be integrated into existing factory structures and is especially well suited to handling standardized transport processes, for example in product supply. The EKS215a is perfectly equipped to transport special loads and closed pallets by virtue of its cantilever forks. It can also be deployed in mixed operations with manual forklifts and pedestrians.
Digitization, Networking and Automation
Jungheinrich builds on the trends of Intralogistics 4.0 to create innovative products and digital solutions. An increasing number of companies believe the optimization of their warehousing processes through automation and digital solutions will present them opportunities for growth. With its Warehouse Management System (WMS) Jungheinrich offers both entry-level as well as sophisticated solutions with modular expandability for optimizing warehouse routes and access. Bespoke customer systems can easily be integrated. ISM Online, Jungheinrich's award-winning fleet management system, makes it possible to control in-house logistics more efficiently. In 2017, Jungheinrich will extend the system by adding modular access control as well as battery and maintenance management. These elements will contribute to reducing operating costs and increasing efficiency. Digital solutions such as the IFOY-nominated indoor warehouse forklift localization system and modern features including start-safe are further highlights of Jungheinrich's process optimization and heightened safety for its customers.
Safety
Safety has always played a key role for Jungheinrich. Every year, there are over 12,000 accidents involving material handling equipment in Germany alone. Jungheinrich driver assistance systems enable effective accident prevention. As a family-run company, Jungheinrich places the individual on centre stage. The goal is to ensure that drivers of Jungheinrich forklifts end their shifts damage-free. Moreover, accident avoidance translates into cost avoidance. Therefore, Jungheinrich offers numerous solutions that protect people, machines and warehouses. They include person recognition cameras, driver assistance systems, digital solutions and consulting services such as the new SAFEwalk.
Energy Efficiency
Jungheinrich material handling equipment has unrivalled energy efficiency in the sector. Jungheinrich underpins its extensive energy expertise with its unique 2Shifts1Charge warranty. By deploying lithium-ion technology, Jungheinrich is strengthening its leading position on the market. In 2017, nearly all new forklifts will have lithium-ion technology as an option. Therefore, Jungheinrich will expand its in-house production of lithium-ion batteries. At present, Jungheinrich is the only manufacturer to offer everything from a one-stop shop—from charging stations via energy storage to drive units.
