Key technologies on show in Moscow

Hannover/Moscow. Russia's industrial demand for modern industrial plant and machinery is enormous. According to the Russian Engineering Union, more than a million of the country's industrial machines are 20 or more years old. At the same time, the Russian economy is growing steadily by about 3.5 percent annually. The Industrial Trade Fair Moscow addresses these two key trends. ITFM runs from 25 to 28 September in Moscow and comprises four co-located industrial tradeshows: CeMAT RUSSIA, MDA RUSSIA, Industrial Automation RUSSIA and Surface RUSSIA.

"Each year, the Industrial Trade Fair Moscow showcases a wide range of plant and machinery. The technologies on show are essential to the continued development of Russia's industrial sector," Wolfgang Pech, the Senior Vice President in charge of Deutsche Messe's foreign trade fair business, said.Fielding some 300 exhibitors, ITFM has a strong presence in the Russian trade fair market. Over a four-day period from 25 to 28 September, companies from 29 nations will exhibit products and innovations in power transmission and fluid power (MDA RUSSIA), intralogistics (CeMAT RUSSIA), industrial automation (Industrial Automation RUSSIA) and surface technology (Surface RUSSIA) on about 11,500 square meters (around 123,780 sq. ft) of exhibition space. The top exhibiting nations at the fair include Russia, Italy, the USA and Germany. Among the fair's first-time exhibitors will be Germany's Schaeffler Group, which will be presenting its latest technology solutions at MDA Russia."The Russian market is already a very important part of Schaeffler's business and has enormous potential going forward. Our antifriction and plain bearing products, linear and direct drive solutions and mechatronic components are at the heart of efficient and reliable drive solutions in many areas of industry. As a specialist tradeshow for drive technology, MDA Russia is a key presentation platform for our products and services. It is also an important forum for communication and dialogue with our customers and partners," Schaeffler's Robert Schullan said. Mr. Schullan is a member of the Board of Management of Schaeffler AG and the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Schaeffler Group. He is also the Chairman of the Power Transmission Engineering Association within the German Engineering Federation (VDMA).This glowing assessment of the Russian market is backed by hard numbers. According to the VDMA, Russian imports of "machinery, equipment and transport infrastructure" for the first quarter of this year increased 27.2% on the same period last year, with Germany and Italy the two top suppliers.About the Industrial Trade Fair Moscow
