KOBELCO CRANES at BAUMA 2013 Part 2

World premiere KOBELCO TK750FS, TK750S and BMS1200HD

Heavy-duty foundation cranes

In response to demand from foundation customers from around the world multi-purpose crawler crane and foundation machine manufacturer KOBELCO CRANES introduces 3 brand new Heavy-duty cranes designed for the global foundation industry at Bauma, namely:
- 2 new crawler cranes with telescopic boom in the 75 ton class; KOBELCO models TK750S and TK750FS, and
- 1 new 120 ton Heavy-Duty foundation crawler crane with lattice boom; the KOBELCO BMS1200HD.

On display at KOBELCO stand F12 1202 / 2 is the KOBELCO TK750FS, a 75 ton Heavy-duty foundation machine with 30.5m telescopic boom. FS stands for Foundation Special.

In the year 2000 KOBELCO introduced the TK-Series telescopic crawler cranes. Today KOBELCO has 3 models in the 55 up to 75 ton class, namely the 55 ton TK550 and the 75 ton TK750FS and TK750S.

In South East Asia and Japan the KOBELCO TK-Series is already quite popular among contractors and crane rental companies. International foundation contractor GAMMON based in Hong Kong already has 5 units.

This TK750FS on display at Bauma was ordered by international crane rental company SIN HENG based in Singapore, which makes it its third TK750 crane.

INVITATION to attend Japanese ceremony on Thursday 18th April from 11:00 hours
KOBELCO will be celebrating the hand-over of this TK750FS to SIN HENG and its long-time business relationship and many years of successful cooperation with SIN HENG, the  dealer of KOBELCO cranes in Singapore, with a traditional Japanese ceremony on KOBELCO stand F12 1202 on Thursday 18th April from 11:00 hours. Esteemed members of the Press and KOBELCO business relations are hereby cordially invited to attend this ceremony.

KOBELCO TK-Series is based on a strong design from top to bottom with:
  • High-strength and high-rigidity telescopic boom for accommodating bucket work
  • Excellent stability and lifting performance
  • Foundation work performance similar to a 55 ton lattice boom crawler crane of the KOBELCO BM-Series.
  • With the TK750FS and TK750S you have 2 cranes to handle large-scale foundation work with ease.
The TK750FS – Makes light work of heavy excavation!
The TK750S – Is optimized for leader operations!

Both the TK750FS and the TK750S are equipped with a 235kW Diesel engine to provide the rugged power for the foundation job. This strong engine can also be found in 250 ton lattice boom crawler cranes.
The TK750FS has 208kN (21.2tf) max. line pull and 107.9kN (11.0tf) rated line pull on the main, aux. and third winch and an operating weight of 74.8t.
The TK750S has 153kN (15.6tf) max. line pull and 68.7kN (7.0tf) rated line pull on the main and aux. winch and an operating weight of 69.2t.

The telescopic crawler cranes of the KOBELCO TK750 Series combine the lifting power and high stability of crawler crane models with the excellent performance of an automatic boom extender/retractor. The TK-Series provides many advantages, such as:
  • Boom length adjustable to work conditions from 9.99 up to 30.1m
  • Automatic boom extenders/retractors
  • Compact design and excellent manoeuvrability
  • On-site rough terrain ability and mobility
  • Safety and efficiency features.

These ensure convenience and flexibility, and consistently satisfy our customers’ needs. And now, in response to a growing demand for machinery suited to larger-scale foundation work, special models TK750FS and TK750S are now available for working on foundation projects outside European Union as the engine emissions do not (yet) comply with EU-regulations. Whether the job requires hard excavation, using an all-casing method with 2.000mm diameter or clamshell bucket, vibro-hammer or auger work, this series performs with excellent efficiency. The two TK750 Series models are pioneers in the new age of large-scale civil engineering work.

The TK-Series is dedicated to foundation works using Clamshell, as well as Hammer-grab, Vibro-hammer and Auger attachments. Foundation jobs in urban areas usually have to be completed in confined job-sites with low head height. And in many cases work time is also restricted by the local traffic situation and other urban factors.

KOBELCO designed the TK-Series product concept to offer a solution for above situations. Crawler cranes with telescopic boom only need a small working space and a short time for assembly, and can be used to pick-and carry loads at job-sites, because they are stronger than wheeled cranes with telescopic boom. Also they are capable of working on job-sites in spaces with low head space, like inside power- and petrochemical installations, under bridges or inside tunnels. The crawler undercarriage guarantees high manoeuvrability in foundation job-sites. In additional to this also KOBELCO’s high line-pull winches and wet-type disc brake systems further assisted the TK-cranes to become the latest standard for foundations works.

KOBELCO provides Japanese top-quality products and has over 80 years of experience manufacturing construction equipment providing real solutions to end-users with high added value for the construction and lifting industry. History of KOBELCO goes back to 1930 and since then KOBELCO has come a long way by working together with its Customers in the development of new products. Around the world KOBELCO cranes have an excellent reputation providing high performance and outstanding reliability combined with smooth, easy operation with high precision when positioning loads. KOBELCO cranes offer high comfort in operation from  an ergonomic cab and are easy to transport and assemble with low running cost for the owner.
