Kohler Power Systems Signs California and Nevada Distribution Agreement with Bay City Electric Works

Expanded partnership to bring industry-leading service to customers throughout both states

Kohler Power Systems, Kohler, Wis. and Bay City Electric Works, Poway, Calif., have signed a new distribution agreement, making Bay City Electric Works the distributor and service provider for Kohler Power Systems throughout the states of California and Nevada, excluding Clark County. The two companies have a longstanding relationship, with Bay City previously representing Kohler in southern California. The partnership has now been expanded to ensure easy and seamless access to a full range of power solutions – including generator systems from 2 kW to 3.2 MW, automatic transfer switches, paralleling switchgear, and more – to a wide variety of customers in both states.

“We’re focused on continuing to grow our leadership position in power generation systems throughout California and Nevada and believe our enhanced partnership with Bay City Electric Works will help accelerate our success in each market,” said Larry Bryce, president for Kohler Power Systems. “While we’ve worked closely with Bay City for more than 40 years, this expanded partnership definitely takes our relationship to a new level and we’re excited about what the future holds for both organizations.”

Bay City Electric Works was founded in 1932 and has grown steadily over the decades. The company, previously named ‘distributor of the year’ by Kohler Power Systems, has found success selling and servicing a full range of Kohler power generation systems. Bay City provides power solutions within numerous industry sectors, including building and construction, manufacturing, city and county government, utilities, the military, healthcare, telecom, bio-tech, data centers and more.

“Kohler Power Systems shares our unwavering commitment to success and we’re certainly eager to start representing the Kohler brand in California and Nevada,” said Rodney Lee, president and chief operating officer of Bay City Electric Works. “One of our shared goals is delivering the best possible experience to the installing contractors and engineers who specify our systems as well as the end users who benefit from the power that’s generated. We strive to be the easiest company to work with and believe in forming longstanding customer relationships. These efforts have driven Bay City’s achievements from the very beginning and will remain unchanged as we expand our footprint throughout California and Nevada.”
