Komatsu Forest at the International Forestry Trade Fair in Lucerne, Switzerland

Komatsu Forest exhibited at the International Forestry Trade Fair in Lucerne, Switzerland, on August 20th to 23rd.

The fair in Lucerne is a unique platform at which the entire forestry industry meets every two years. With 280 exhibitors and more than 26.000 visitors, it is the largest and most important fair for the forestry industry in Switzerland. “The strong number of visitors indicates the fair’s significance for the forest and wood industry” says fair organizer Marco Biland, who is convinced that this year’s fair was the best one yet.

A special highlight at the fair was the new Komatsu 911 harvester, which was presented for the first time in Switzerland. The new cabin with high-quality interior appeared to be appreciated by the trade visitors. A great deal of the interest for the new machine also concerned the new 3-pump system, which enables an unprecedented collaboration between the crane, harvester head and transmission.

In addition to the harvester, a Komatsu 845 forwarder was also displayed. Again, the generously dimensioned and ergonomic cabin was the central theme. Another focus was on the cab suspension "Comfort Ride" which optimally dampens shocks and vibrations.

The next forest fair in Lucerne will take place on August 17th to 20th 2017.
