Kramer telehandler chosen by leading piling contractor for yard duties

Foundation Piling of Oswestry in Shropshire has recently taken delivery of a Kramer 3507 compact telehandler for general duties around its 2 acre yard. Previously, the work had been undertaken by another similar machine which has now been relocated at a newly acquired site in the locality as part of an on-going expansion plan.

Foundation Piling was established in 1980 and has steadily grown to become one of the UK's leading, independent geotechnical contractors with a current fleet of 14 large piling rigs and seven mini rigs. Also, the company has a particular specialisation in the design and installation of piled retaining walls, much favoured by London's booming basement extension market.

Supplied by local dealer ICP Kramer of Stoke-on-Trent, the main jobs carried out by the 3507 is the loading and unloading of lorries and the movement of plant and materials around the yard.According to Foundation Piling's operation manager Colin Kemshead, "the Kramer offers the necessary flexibility and manoeuvrability to operate safely in the confines of our busy site and also able to unload regular deliveries of ductile tubing from our Austrian supplier that arrive on curtain-sided trucks. In addition to a standard bucket, the machine has been delivered with a jib crane attachment, a set of pallet forks and a brush/collector for yard cleaning duties.Kramer's 3507 is powered by a Deutz diesel engine developing 100 kW (134 hp) and offers a maximum carrying capacity of 3.5 tonne and an ability to lift 2.2 tonne to a height of 7 m.
