Telehandlers manufactured by Kramer-Werke GmbH are characterised by their continuous technical enhancement, latest features and highly efficient exhaust emission stage V engines. The wide product range is complemented by additional comfort, workload reduction thanks to driver assistance systems, a huge variety of options and an attractive selection of attachments enabling flexible application.

The Kramer brand is synonymous with all wheel steer loaders, telescopic wheel loaders and telehandlers with extreme manoeuvrability, all-terrain mobility and high efficiency in material handling. “Our company stands out because of its innovative and customer-oriented product developments, which are also incorporated in the new telehandler models,” explained Christian Stryffeler, Managing Director of Kramer-Werke GmbH. “As well as achieving the latest exhaust emission stage, implementation of our customers’ wishes are at the heart of this enhancement, as we aim to provide machines for professional agricultural application,” added Christian Stryffeler. The Kramer telehandlers are now also equipped with stage V engines, in compliance with the EU exhaust emission regulation. The full range of models (KT276, KT306, KT356, KT307, KT357, KT407, KT457, KT507, KT557, KT429, KT559) also includes a variety of new features. Models are now available to purchase.

Kramer telehandlers with emission stage V

The compact model KT276 complies with the EU emission stage V with a 55 kW Kohler engine and exhaust emission treatment with a diesel oxidation catalytic converter (DOC) and diesel particle filter (DPF). The models KT306, KT356, KT307, KT357, KT407, KT457 (successor of the KT447), KT507 and KT429 are still equipped with the Deutz TCD 3.6 engine with level V and 100 kilowatt power, which complies with the level V exhaust emission. For this purpose, the exhaust emission treatment with DOC and SCR will be supplemented with a DPF as standard. The models with a 5.5 tonne payload, KT557 and KT559, will be fitted with the Deutz TCD 4.1 engine with level V and 115 kilowatts as a standard.

Everything in view outside

All-round visibility is a crucial consideration for telehandlers, Kramer now offers various options for optimising all-round visibility. To ideally adapt machines to suit individual conditions of application, the compact models with a payload of 3 to 4 tonnes (KT306 to KT407) are available with two cabin options. The vehicle with the standard cabin is ideally suited to low stables and passageways. With a height of 2.31 metres, which can be reduced to 2.26 metres with 20-inch tyres, confined spaces pose no problem. If the maximum height of the vehicle is not a limiting factor, there is an option available for a raised cabin, which is 20 centimetres higher, for optimal all-round visibility, especially to the right of the machine. As well as the improved all-round visibility, the capacity of the diesel tank for this cabin option has been increased by 20 litres. As well as the cabin, the FOPS screen, which protects the driver from falling objects, has also been optimised to provide ideal visibility as a result of the individual braces on the exterior screen now bending outwards in line with the eye’s perspective. This facilitates an uninterrupted view of the attachment and thus safe, precise working, even when the telescopic arm is extended. The protective grating is available as standard for power classes KT457 to KT559 and for models with a payload of 3 to 4 tonnes with the higher cabin.

Comfortable flexible working with Kramer

A recess in the cabin floor and the stair-like step layout ensures easy cabin entry and greater safety and comfort for all vehicles. For a lower and thus less unpleasant level of noise, a quieter steering pump is one of the other features to be installed, which reduces cabin noise in models KT306 to KT559 to a level of just 72 decibels (A). The current model updates also include the introduction of an optonal left armrest, for greater comfort, e.g. on long road journeys. In addition to the aforementioned comfort features, models KT306 to KT559 are equipped with an impressive fourth steering mode, known as the “manual crab steering”, as standard. This blocks the rear axle, whilst the front axle remains freely mobile - which clearly improves flexibility, e.g. in silo compacting, driving parallel to a wall, mucking out or even hedgerow management. The Smart Handling driver assistance system with its three function modes also ensures work is completed more quickly and more safely. The joystick attached to the operator’s seat enables ergonomic driving in everyday use. The well-known sturdy Kramer quickhitch plate ensures that changing attachments for this machine is quick and efficient.

The versatile and high-performance telehandler KT447 becomes the KT457

To enable us to better satisfy our customers requirements, the performance of the new KT457 has also been modified. Alongside a payload increase of 100 kilogrammes to 4.5 tonnes, the ecospeedPRO transmission is now available as an option with its combination of maximum pushing power and a top speed of 40 km/h. The vehicle is designed for a high handling capacity as transverse forces are absorbed by the lateral support of the telescopic arm when pushing with a lowered loader unit. Trailer loads of up to 20 tonnes are also no problem.

Further highlights, such as e.g. an additional storage compartment, enhancement of the rear-view mirror including mobile phone holder with two additional USB ports and enlargement of the maintenance covers, which can now be opened quickly and easily with just two screws and no tools required, all contribute to ensuring comfortable flexible working with a Kramer telehandler. The new Kramer models with emission stage V are versatile, high-performance machines for the highest demands in agriculture.
