Since the second half of 2017, Kramer-Werke GmbH has expanded its product portfolio of telehandlers for agriculture by 8 models with a stacking height from 6 to 9 m. Starting January 2018, the telehandlers will be equipped with, inter alia, a new operating concept.
In the early years of more than the 90-year company history, the company quickly made a name for itself as a manufacturer of tractors. Thanks to the company's continuous success, machines have again been sold in agriculture since 2012 under the brand name Kramer. The product range has been steadily expanded since then. With the market launch of the new telehandler model in mid-2017, the company offers a total of nine models between 6 m and 9 m of stacking height. The machines are equipped with many innovative details for professional agricultural operations of any kind.
Starting in January 2018, in addition to the implementation of the normative new regulations, a new operating concept will be used for eight machines (KT306, KT356, KT307, KT357, KT447, KT507, KT557, KT559). It enables an intuitive operation of all functions by using the electronically pilot-operated all-in-one joystick and the jog dial control element. For example, the joystick's sensitivity can be individually adjusted with this. All relevant vehicle data and settings are displayed via the new 7" display. The image of the optional reversing camera is also integrated into this display so that no separate output screen is necessary. To increase the driving comfort, a mobile holder and interior rearview mirror are optionally available in an outfitting package. The installation occurs in the A-column in the optimal viewing field of the operator, but without impairing the line-of-sight in the working area of the loader unit.
A special innovation used for the models KT507 (optional), KT557 and KT559 is the new hydrostatic, wide-angle drive system "ecospeedPRO" with 370cc capacity for increased tractive force and driving dynamics. The variable hydrostatic high-speed gearbox with a 45° turning angle of the hydraulic motor was co-developed by Kramer. The ecospeedPRO drive system allow for a continuous acceleration from 0-40 km/h without shifting and thus without losses of thrust and tractive forces. In addition to the positively known properties for hydrostatic drives, such as easy reversing, good metering, fine controllability, inching and brake force support, the large conversion range of the 45° technology also allows for driving through the entire speed range from 0 to 40 km/h without shifting. In typical agricultural working situations, such as handling work in the Y-cycle, there is a high demand for constant thrust and tractive forces at low speeds. The ecospeedPRO transmission meets precisely these requirements by completely eliminating shifting steps. This offers a very high level of driving comfort for the end user, since there is no tractive force interruption or shifting jerk. This offers comfortable uniform driving for the end user and a harmonious noise development.
The intelligent engine speed reduction "Smart Driving" is integrated as a standard in the time-tested and proven ecospeed and in the new ecospeedPRO drive system. This optimally adjusts the engine speed to the driving requirements at a constant speed. When reaching the maximum speed, this ensures reduced noise level, a lower fuel consumption and a reduced load on the individual components. With ecospeedPRO, it is possible to reduce the engine speed to 1,550 rpm at maximum travel speed.
As a standard, all models (KT276, KT306, KT356, KT307, KT357, KT447, KT507, KT557, KT559) are equipped with the driver assistance system Smart Handling. With three functional modes for different requirements, Smart Handling supports the end user in efficient and convenient operation, thus ensuring efficient materials handling on the farm. At the same time, the system continuously monitors the load state and ensures that the vehicle is in a safe position and cannot tip over forward in a static state. The variety of attachments makes the Kramer telehandlers true all-rounders on the farm. The machines are extremely versatile in use, whether for feeding, stacking straw or mucking. Equipped with many innovative details for sophisticated user requirements, the telehandlers await with an automatic bucket return, automated vibration dampening and perfect all-round visibility. "Our telehandlers can essentially be described with three characteristics: sturdy, versatile and efficient. We are very pleased that we were able to expand and continue to develop our agricultural product portfolio with these machines. This allows us to meet customer needs even better", says Karl Friedrich Hauri, managing director of Kramer-Werke GmbH.
