Kramer Wheeled Loader Chosen For Loading Volumetric Concrete Mixers

Titan Plant of Wolverhampton has recently purchased one of Kramer's latest Kramer 8085T telescopic wheeled loaders for loading aggregates into volumetric mixers.

Part of the privately owned Gill Group, Titan Plant was established in 2003 to provide all the machinery, logistics and back-up support for the various Group divisions which include civil engineering, building supplies and, most recently, concrete slipforming activities.

The Kramer loader has been chosen specifically to load a fleet of three volumetric concrete mixer trucks which form part of a new Group venture to tackle motorway barrier construction using the slipform paving technique. Whilst the infrastructure for this new venture is being established, the Kramer machine has been put to good use at the company's Discount Building Supplies division in Handsworth where it is being used to load sand and aggregate bags as well as general materials handling work.

Commenting on the choice of the Kramer loader, Titan Plant's commercial manager Mark Woodward said: "Local Kramer dealer, ICP Handling of Stafford, let us have a unit on demonstration which very soon proved to be the best we had looked at for our application. For its size, the 8085T is light, versatile, easy-to-use and powered by a highly efficient engine. Of particular importance to us is its telescopic boom which will enable us to fully load the mixers from one side. We have also been very impressed with the help and support provided by the dealer with their close proximity being a real bonus."

Kramer's new premium 8085T model is powered by a Deutz 55 kW (75 hp) engine with a maintenance-free DOC exhaust after-treatment system. This model can also be specified with a version of the engine developing an increased output of 75 kW (100 hp) if required.
