KUHN introduces a pioneering bale weighing system integrated into the bale kicker on VB 7100 round balers.
-
The system offers precise bale weight measurements from 100 to 1500 kg, including slope compensation for accuracy on uneven terrain.
-
Weight data can be transferred to farm management systems, enhancing yield measurement when combined with location and moisture data.

The weighing system will be available starting in 2026 for VB 7100 balers from the 2025 model year onward.
KUHN is introducing a new bale weighing system. This innovation helps farmers and contractors get precise and reliable data, improving their productivity and efficiency. It makes the VB 7100 the first round balers to weigh bales directly on the bale kicker, ensuring accurate measurements.
High accuracy, also on slopes
The system weighs bales between 100 and 1500 kg with the highest accuracy. Thanks to the integration in the bale kicker, only the bale is weighed, not the entire machine. Moreover, the system includes a slope compensation sensor to maintain accuracy on slopes. Important bale weight information is shown on a personalised work screen, including average bale weight, weight of the last bale, total weight, and work counter metrics.
A complete package of data
The weighing system can be used independently or in combination with KUHN Baler Automation functionalities. With Task Controller basic (TC-BAS), bale weight data per work counter is transferred to the Farm Management Information System (FMIS). Task Controller geo-based (TC-GEO) combines individual bale weight information with location details, providing a solid basis for yield measurement.
Moisture measurement is offered as standard on VB 7100 balers. By adding the new bale weighing system, the dry matter yield can be calculated. Yet another KUHN solution that adds value to agricultural operations and ensures they are ready for the challenges of tomorrow.
The bale kicker with weighing system is available from 2026, and suitable for VB 7100 series balers from model year 2025 onwards.
