Extremely operator-friendly, Kverneland Accord presents the new integrated professional seed drill, e-drill maxi, fitting to Kverneland’s power harrows and seed bed preparation machines.
When looking at the new Kverneland Accord integrated seed drill, e-drill maxi, what makes the difference for the farmer? What makes the adjustment and handling of this seed drill especially operator-friendly?
The new metering device, ELDOS, is fully electric driven and steered by e-com electronic. It is available with 4 different rotors for the various seeds. With software for rotor recognition, no wrong use is possible. Positioned on the left hand side of the hopper, there is an open access to change cell wheels or operate the trimming of seed. Cell wheels and dosing bag are on board.
The calibration test is carried out by remote control which again makes it very user-friendly. The calibration flap with integrated gate prevents any seed dropping into the hose. A penstock is standard.
Second, there is the central independent adjustment.
The sowing depth can be adjusted centrally by spacers at the two hydraulic cylinders without any tools. Via the hydraulic cylinder, the complete coulter bar can also be lifted e.g. for the preparation of the headlands. The quadruple joint of the coulter bar ensures a constant seed application by the short and long coulters at any sowing depth. The parallelogram of the power harrow allows an independent adjustment of the tine depth without any impact to the sowing depth. The e-drill maxi can be fitted with the well-known CX-II coulter at a row distance of 12.5 cm.
The e-drill maxi is offered with a hopper capacity of 2,000 litres. The sturdy hopper cover with the eclipse as the typical Kverneland Accord design is protected by a bump protection for Big Bag loading. An electronic low level sensor, adjustable from outside, monitors small quantities of rape as well as larger quantities.
The hopper is mounted directly on the head stock for a positive position of centre of gravity reducing the requirement of lifting capacity. The driver has at any time a clear view over the whole seed drill. From the tractor cab the scale of the coulter pressure adjustment can be monitored. The optional hydraulic adjustment allows a direct adjustment of the coulter pressure.
Flexibility is key: the coulter bar can be easily coupled and uncoupled from the coupling hook similar to the front loader coupling. Track markers are attached to the power harrow, therefore, the power harrow is ready for solo operation with a short time.
Central height adjustment of the following harrow and wide loading steps for a safe access are further aspects of the operator-friendly new e-drill maxi.
