Laois Hire Group takes its first JCBs in 13 machine deal

Ireland’s leading hire firm has bought 13 new JCB compact excavators as part of a significant investment in its rental fleet.

Supplied by dealer ECI JCB, HSS Laois Hire Group has purchased new 8026 mini and 86C-1 midi excavators which become the company’s first JCB machines. The new models will be available to hire from its established network of 24 hire branches and supercentres across Ireland.

The 86C-1 model is one of the latest additions to JCB’s product line-up and features: lower fuel consumption, 30º tilting cab for excellent service access, no costly DPF, a 6% more spacious cab, 11% extra visibility and 100% steel bodywork for excellent durability.

We have also found that certain customers will specifically request JCB equipment for certain projects.

“Customers are responding well to the excellent quality of the new machines. Their reliability means no customer down time or undue costs to contracts that need to be completed on tight schedules. We saw significant demand almost immediately for these machines. They had just rolled into our depot when they went straight out on hire!”
