Leaders from the heavy equipment sector gathered in Nuremberg to celebrate LECTURA's 40th anniversary

Friday 26 July 2024 was a very special day for LECTURA. The company celebrated its 40th anniversary in Nuremberg, the city of its foundation in 1984 and its headquarters ever since.

Around 125 guests from 9 European countries, professionals from the heavy equipment sector, gathered at the local NH Collection Nürnberg City hotel. After the opening reception, Iva Thiel, the company's managing director, welcomed all the guests and outlined the programme. However, her main wish was that all would enjoy and have fun on this important day.

Afterwards, all the guests made their way to a nearby tram stop, where a historic tram arrived a few minutes later with local guides who provided everyone with a variety of interesting facts about Nuremberg during the ride.

The ride ended at the historical tram depot St. Peter, which serves as a museum. Here, guests were able to see many technological highlights and different types of tram cars - a perfect opportunity for the technology enthusiasts with whom our industry abounds.

An additional surprise was the tasting of the company special drink - chilled LECTURA Datenlager beer, brewed especially for this event. Beer production has been a long tradition in Bavaria for more than 500 years.

After returning by historic tram back to the hotel and dressing up for the gala dinner, we kicked off the evening program, which was full of live music, great food, networking, but most of all a very relaxed atmosphere that engulfed everyone. Gradually, a few more surprises were revealed, such as an outdoor laser show, or a musical performance by our colleagues.

We would like to take this opportunity to once again thank all our guests - friends and colleagues who supported us by attending the event and raising a glass to toast our anniversary. We would also like to thank everyone for all the wonderful gifts and generous donations to Hospiz-Team Nürnberg e.V. As of today (14.8.2024) 5,500 EUR have already been raised, thank you all very much, the fundraising campaign continues!

ANNIVERSARY

40 years in the service of the construction industry

On July 26, 2024, 125 invited guests from nine countries were drawn to Nuremberg, the home of LECTURA, to celebrate the milestone anniversary of the company together with Dr. Iva Thiel and her team. LECTURA collects, cleans, structures and validates data of heavy machinery to facilitate the understanding of the industry. LECTURA quickly gained a reputation as a reliable source of data. In addition to machine data, the in-house asset catalog also includes business intelligence.

The hostess had come up with a few ideas for her colleagues, some of whom had been with her for many years. The meet & greet was followed by a trip to the historic St. Peter tram depot, from where a "journey in time" through the Franconian city was on the agenda - a highlight for any machine enthusiast. The tour was rounded off with a well-earned reward: the LECTURA-Datenlager beer. The evening event at the NH Collection Nürnberg City Hotel had further surprises in store, such as a photo box, laser fireworks and live music.

A LECTURA member performed the fitting Toten Hosen song "An Tagen wie diesen" ("On Days Like These") - it couldn't have been more team spirit. The open discussions with each other about shared success stories will be particularly memorable, as will getting to know people who were previously strangers. Representatives of the Nuremberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) who were in attendance remarked enthusiastically that they had never experienced a company anniversary like this before.

It all began in 1984 in Germany...

LECTURA GmbH Verlag was founded exactly 40 years ago as a family business. That's why our technical director Wolfgang Lübberding was present at the anniversary celebrations.

LECTURA has been a supporting member of the VDBUM for a long time and we are extremely grateful to them for that! Of course, this had to be celebrated in style. The photos show you some insights from this day last week.

Some invitations are particularly appreciated, even more than others. The 40-year milestone is impressive in itself and stands for consistency and value. Then it's certainly also a good opportunity to meet all your companions in the industry and celebrate the occasion together.

It's a great opportunity to get to know the LECTURA team better. And to thank the team and, above all, a very special Mrs Iva Thiel.
