L: When and by whom was your company founded and how did you come up with the idea?

LB: When our current managing director, Monja Meier was still working in the construction industry in the field service of a software manufacturer, she was repeatedly asked by companies for a software to handle all their occupational safety measures. She saw the pain point that her customers were facing for digital measure management. There, like in many other organisations, the topic is still handled by paperwork or with countless Excel sheets as an isolated solution. She encountered this situation repeatedly, and being an entrepreneur, she wanted to tackle the problem herself. And so the idea for a comprehensive software was born. Together with Lena Benecken and Dennis Berkemeier, she founded EASI Control GmbH in June 2020.

L: What problem(s) is your tool/product solving? Can you identify the range of your customers?

LB: Construction companies face special challenges when it comes to occupational safety. Constantly changing conditions and decentralized workplaces make it difficult to centrally manage operational safety at work. The current state of administration and implementation of occupational health and safety in German construction companies is, in many places inflexible, complex, difficult to audit and absolutely confusing. In addition, even legal certainty often leaves a lot to be desired. The solutions available in the market often only cover parts of the complex topic and thus ensure confusing and multiple documents. Many companies still work with Excel, PowerPoint and file folders.

So why not make the whole thing simpler through automated optimizing processes? EASI Control has accepted this challenge and developed software that solves exactly that. Using a central PC application and mobile app, users can map the entire occupational health and safety management on just one system, measures can be carried out directly in the app and all information is always available on the go via a smartphone. In this way, occupational health and safety can be managed more efficiently and in compliance with the law.

Minimizing dangers at work and proactively counteracting accidents: The motto of statutory occupational safety is prevention. The startup from Hamm relies on this. All measures are clearly covered in a cloud-based web application in combination with a mobile app for the smartphone. The user is automatically informed of the need for action, e.g. if a device test is due soon or instruction must be carried out.

The digital tool enables clear and simple handling of the complex topic and enables effortless digitization of occupational health and safety. Employees, workplaces, equipment as well as hazardous materials, subcontractors, accident reports and much more can be managed via the app.

L: What markets/regions do you focus on and where would you like to expand?

LB: We already support companies nationwide in the legally compliant implementation of occupational safety. Our current main focus is also in the DACH region. In the near future, we would like to establish initial contacts in other European countries in order to help companies throughout Europe with the digitized administration, implementation and documentation of protective measures through the uniform EU guidelines for safety at work. Safe together at work - simple, mobile & legally compliant.
