Liebherr at the 2013 Bauma: Meet Innovation – Discover Diversity

At the 2013 Bauma trade fair from April 15 – 21, the Liebherr Group is exhibiting many new and further developed products from every area of its extensive construction and mining machinery programme, on a total display area of more than 14,000 square metres.

The central meeting point for visitors will of course be the Liebherr stand on the Group’s open-air site (Stand 809 – 813), which was first used for the 2010 Bauma. Work began in November 2012 on re-erecting the buildings. The two long sections raised on stilts are directly adjacent to the various product divisions’ display areas on the open-air site, and as visitors approach they have a clear view of the products – more than 60 interesting items from the Group’s construction machinery programmes.

The list of exhibits on the open-air site includes eight tower cranes, two mobile construction cranes, ten mobile cranes, four crawler cranes, three duty-cycle crawler cranes, a large rotary drilling rig, three wheeled excavators, seven crawler excavators, eight wheel loaders, three crawler tractors and loaders, a pipelayer and a telescopic handler, six exhibits from the concrete technology programme, two material handlers as well as an articulated truck, a mining truck and a mining excavator. Presentations about Liebherr’s service activities extend the information available on the large Liebherr stand.

On stand 115 in Hall A4, the latest developments in components for construction machinery and other applications can be seen. They include diesel and gas-fuelled engines, fuel injection systems, hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic pumps and motors, large anti-friction bearings, transmissions and electronic assemblies.

On a separate open-air site (Stand 1003 / 2) Liebherr is displaying four concrete pumps from the range manufactured by the Waitzinger company, which was taken over in October 2012. These products will be supplied from 2013 on under the Liebherr name.
