The 6th logitrans Transport Logistics Exhibition will take place in Istanbul from 15 to 17 November 2012. Organized by EKO MMI Fair Limited, Messe München International and EKO Fair Limited, who are staging the event, are anticipating more than 200 exhibitors and around 14,000 participants. Occupying 10,000 square meters spread over two exhibition halls, international companies will be showcasing a wide range of products and services spanning the entire logistics, telematics and transport supply chain.
According to a poll conducted by Jones Lang LaSalle, Turkey is in the vanguard of the up and coming logistics markets in the next five years. For more than a quarter of Supply Chain Managers polled in Europe, the country ranks in the Top 3 of the newly emerging logistics locations in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa). This has also been recognized by the many logitrans 2012 exhibitors making their debut at this year’s trade fair, including AAE Ahaus Alstatter Eisenbahn, Anek Lines, AnRuss Trans, Mercedes Benz, Panalpina, Seaports of Niedersachsen and Stena Sea Line.
It is also the first time the trade fair will be welcoming exhibitors from India, Jordan, New Zealand, Sweden and Slovenia.
Returning exhibitors in 2012 include BLG, the ports of Bremen, Duisport and Hamburg, Kühne + Nagel and Schenker. Taking part from the Turkish side are Alisan, Balnak, Ceynak, Gökbora and Turkish Cargo, to name but a few of the key players.
Germany, Italy, Latvia and Austria are attending with their own country pavilion. The German pavilion has increased the size of its exhibition space by 40 per cent compared with last year. And Austria too has doubled the floor area and number of participating companies on its logitrans 2012 stand.
