The trade fair will start on Thursday, November 15, 2012 with an opening ceremony: The speakers will be Dr. Heiner Heseler, State Councilor, Senator for Economic Affairs, Labor and Ports in the German Federal State of Bremen, Birgitta Worringen, Head of the Environmental Policy and Infrastructure Subdivision in the German Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development, Hamza Demirdelen, Regional Director at the Turkish Ministry of Transport, Cetin Nuoglu, National Union of Chambers of Commerce and Stock Exchanges – President of Turkish Transport and Logistics Assembly, Ilker Altun, Managing Director of EKO MMI Fuarcilik Ltd. Two talk forums will also take place on the same day: the Supply Chain Forum, organized by the German Federal Logistics Association (BVL) and the Turkish organization UTIKAD (Freight Forwarders & Logistics Service Providers Association), and the Forum of Logistics Alliance Germany entitled “Logistics Solutions Made in Germany”. According to the German Federal Association for Material Management, Purchasing and Logistics (BME), many companies are facing more supply chain risks due to increasing international networking. The reliability and planability of the entire supply chain are becoming increasingly more difficult. These global demands on the supply chain will be examined in the talks during the Supply Chain Forum, for example in “Global Trends in Supply Chain Management/Logistics Business” or in “Requirements at the Logistics Providers in the Supply Chains of Global Business”.

The focal points of the Forum of Logistics Alliance Germany will primarily include general logistics topics such as “Competitive advantages through efficient logistics solutions” and “IT in the transport industry – how to operate efficiently on the virtual spot and contract market”.

On Friday, November 16, 2012 everything will revolve around transport on the River Danube in other discussions. Waterways are regarded as the most environmentally-friendly solution for heavy goods transport. The Danube, which flows through a total of 14 countries, offers many opportunities for goods transport. Experts will discuss these opportunities in “Transportation from Turkey to Austria - Opportunities and Threats” and "Transportation on the Danube River”.

The 2012 Logistics Award will also be presented on the Friday under the auspices of the Turkish Ministry of Economics.
