"The year 2016 means a lot for us as we celebrate both the 55 years for JONSERED forestry and recycling cranes and 50 years of LOGLIFT forestry cranes with our customers - many of them have worked with the products and our global Team for decades," says Jon Lopez, Vice President of the Forestry Cranes Business Line.

Brands with long history and tradition

LOGLIFT and JONSERED crane brands origin from Finland and Sweden, two countries that are largely covered with forest, and have forestry as a tradition dating far back in time. 1950's marks the beginning of industrialisation of the forestry business and a change from manual hard work to mechanised work that can be carried out all year round.

It was also the decade when the development of both brands started. JONSERED in Sweden brought its first forestry crane to the market in 1961 and LOGLIFT (that time called Fiskars) did the same in Finland in the mid-1960's. "It is remarkable that already in 1963 JONSERED patented a crane model that could be folded behind the crane cabin. Today this is the standard," tells Christine Ådland-Holmström, Marketing Manager for Forestry Cranes. In 1978 Hiab acquired JONSERED cranes and in 1988 Fiskars cranes which became LOGLIFT.

Looking at the future with pioneering mindset

Today, the forestry and recycling cranes are sold in more than 50 countries with an extensive service network. Our dedicated forestry and recycling team works in close co-operation with the customers, and good example of the continuous R&D work is new Hi-CabTM  cabin which  has the industry's highest visibility factor. "LOGLIFT was actually the first bringing up the cabin to the market. The cabin increased both safety and job satisfaction," says Ådland-Holmström. The forestry cranes are produced in the state-of-the-art factory in Stargard, Poland. Production in this modern factory enables the treatment of the cranes with nDuranceTM, a technologically advanced and environmentally sound pre-treatment and paint process which offers a unique three-layer protection against corrosion and harsh working environments.

"We will celebrate the two jubilees throughout 2016, and want to celebrate that together with our customers with a special jubilee offering as well as new launches which are not only updates for our current product portfolio but really take a look into future forest handling. We will offer the first views what we think will be the future in the forestry business in connection to Bauma exhibition in Munich, Germany April 11.-17.2016. Please come and visit our stands FN. 921/4 and FN. 1024/1," Lopez concludes.
