Family-run M&M Mobile Crane Hire Ltd headquartered in Uxbridge with depots in Slough and Welwyn Garden City, has taken delivery of two Terex® AC 40/2L all terrain cranes. They replace two Terex® City cranes purchased in 2003 and 2004, and are part of an on-going investment programme.
In the 40 tonne capacity class, the AC 40/2L is one of the most popular Terex cranes. It has a boom length of 37.4 metres and a maximum system length of 45.4 metres. “We decided to do the double primarily because of the AC 40/2L’s 37 metre fully powered boom,” says Managing Director, Brian Tierney. “We also liked the compactness of the crane combined with its low headroom.”
“It will be available for general duties anywhere in the UK and we fully expect it to enjoy a high utilisation rate,” he continues and adds: “The decision process was also helped by the fact that we have always enjoyed a good working relationship with Terex. Since 2000 when we invested in our first Terex crane, our two companies have worked together in a positive and constructive way.”
Terex Cranes Senior Manager in the UK and Ireland, Julia Dyer, comments: “We have always appreciated our healthy relationship with M&M - in particular their openness and practical approach. So much so, they have been invited to join, and are involved in, the company’s product development programme”.
