Magni Telescopic Handlers UK Ltd (Magni UK) are pleased to announce the appointment of Hodge Plant Ltd as their sole dealer for Scotland. Hodge Plant Ltd represent a major step forward in the sales and marketing of the Magni range in Scotland and will provide the backup required for new and existing Magni customers.
Alistair Hodge and Riccardo Magni agreed the new partnership during a recent factory visit. Magni has major plans for the UK market and Hodge Plant Ltd will form a pivotal role within these plans.
When asking Alistair what lead him to this partnership being formed his reply was:
“After many months researching both the customers and the manufacturers within the rotational and heavy lift telescopic handler market it was clear to see that Magni was a brand that kept being discussed. I looked into the specifications of the machines and the ranges available and quickly realised that the machines stood out in a class of their own taking build quality, technology, safety features and performance to a level way above their competitors. I am the sole Managing Director and owner of Hodge Plant Ltd and it is my name above the door so it was important that I could partner up with a company that showed the commitment to its products and its staff in the same way I do. Attending a recent factory visit with Alex White of Magni UK quickly affirmed what the market had been saying about the Magni company and its products. I have been on plenty of factory trips over the past 30 years and thought that there was nothing new to see however, the factory trip to Magni left me astounded. I couldn’t understand how it was possible to build a factory and a significant market share in an unbelievably short period of 4-5 years but, after spending time with Riccardo and Carlo Magni it was clear to see the passion of the family and the whole Magni team that has driven Magni to success”
Working with Magni UK, Hodge Plant Ltd plan to intensively promote the Magni brand in Scotland to take it to a much wider audience than previously reached. Upon being asked what his plans for Magni were. Alistair replied “We plan to transform the Magni brand in Scotland the same as we have done with the Case brand where we took it from a handful of sales a year to making Case one of the major players in Scotland in under 4 years. We have 3 depots in Scotland out of which there are currently 9 engineers working. All of the engineers will be Magni factory trained to support the entire Magni product range. These depots are ideally situated to provide a wide range of sales and support services to the construction, ports, quarrying and oil and gas industries. Our knowledge in these markets is already very in-depth and we see Magni being a natural performer within these arena’s”.
Hodge Plant Ltd will be running a range of demonstration machines that have been selected to reflect customer requirements in Scotland. These Magni machines will run alongside the comprehensive fleet of Case demonstration machines they already run. Hodge Plant Ltd have their own transport so can react to customer requirements very quickly and provide a full service from order to delivery. They will also be stocking a range of Magni parts to keep any downtime of machines to a minimum.
A final word from Alistair about how he felt about the new partnership he said “I am very pleased to have signed the agreement with Magni. After meeting the Magni family and seeing the ethos and positive attitude of the company I am happy to begin the relationship that will continue to strengthen over the many years to come”.
Hodge Plant will be exhibiting the range of Magni machines at the upcoming ScotPlant show and we look forward to meeting new customers to show them these fantastic machines. In the meantime, please contact us for more information.
