MF TERMINALS

From the MF 5M to the MF 9S, and in all S series tractors, Massey Ferguson delivers to customers intuitive Datatronic 5 and Fieldstar 5 terminals, purpose designed for smart farming and connectivity and offering a tablet-style operation with their 9” touchscreen.

Customized experience

Profiles – To optimize the can be stored for each application or implement for quick and convenient set up, while allowing fine tuning to optimise performance for each task.

Widgets – A left-hand side banner of 7 boxes allows you to customize the current profile used by displaying key values to monitor (engine speed, slippage, counters, etc.).

Carousel Management – this function allows you to choose the five most used pages with the press of a button on the home page toolbar. The selected pages are quickly accessed by swiping across the screen. Pages are simply and easily added by dragging and dropping or swiping up to remove.

Entertainment – the same as you would in a car, simply connect devices via Bluetooth, USB or Auxiliary control with the option of synchronising more than one smartphone. Memorise radio stations, receive and make calls and other functions.

The machine potential at your fingertips

Ultimate communication tool for the driver to exchange requests and needs with his machine, those terminals manage all the tractor advanced settings such as engine, transmission, linkage and hydraulic parameters.

Moreover, they can operate and manage a range of technology features, including MF Guide, ISOBUS implements management, MF Section Control and MF Rate Control.

ISOXML 3, ISOXML 4 & Shapefile compatible to read all your documents imported, MF terminals will allow you to transfer and manage data through the MF TaskDoc application.

MF GUIDE

Farmers need technologies supporting them to be more productive and profitable while minimizing the environmental impact of their operations. PTx Trimble gives farmers greater  access to next-generation precision agronomics tools, no matter what brands of tractors and implements they operate.

MF Guide is Massey Ferguson’s full featured, hands-free steering system. MF Guide can deliver sub-metre, decimetre and centimetre accuracy, increasing the efficiency of your farming operations.

Easy & fast set-up

GO Mode – Thanks to the simple GO Mode function, you can start using MF Guide in just one minute, in three easy steps :

  1. Press “GO”

  2. Check your implement settings

  3. Select and draw the wayline type needed

Then, GO!

Contour Segment – This feature allows you to automatically create waylines according to the field boundaries. With the capability to generate up to 20 segments, no need to change manually the wayline desired, the tractor – thanks to the GPS-position – automatically detects the most relevant wayline to use and select it. You benefit from an auto offset equal to half the implement width, applied to the first segment near the boundaries, as well as the ability to lock or set favorite segments.

Single Contour – This wayline type permits you to draw a single wayline in your field while working it for the first time. Next time, just select this wayline crated and engage the guidance system; the tractor will exactly follow the same path as previously driven and operate the whole activity autonomously.

MF AUTOTURN & AUTOHEADLAND

MF AutoTurn & Autoheadland – a new MF Guide option – automatically steers the tractor into the next pass and automates the headland sequences management with GPS-position triggering; particularly helpful when operating with complex implements. There is a choice of steering waylines to suit the work including U-Turn triggered by the operator, a fully automated U-Turn or bed pattern turn mode.

NEW TRACTOR IMPLEMENT MANAGEMENT (TIM)

Ultimate automation is provided by the advanced TIM ISOBUS system. This automatically manages the tractor’s functions, such as the forward speed and hydraulic operations, according to the implement’s requirements. This greatly relieves the operator’s workload as well as improving work quality and consistency.

ISOBUS

The Massey Ferguson AEF certified ISOBUS solution allows an implement manufacturer’s control system to be displayed on the terminal screen, saving owners and operators time and money, with no need to install additional monitors and controls in the cab. Simply plug the implement lead into the tractor’s ISOBUS socket and the system automatically uploads the operating menus and displays on the screen.

ISOBUS MultiPad switch assignment (AUX-N) – ISOBUS implements can be controlled directly using the MultiPad lever on the armrest with up to 12 assignments possible. Having all controls (tractor and implement) on the same lever is a lot more convenient than using additional displays and levers.

MF SECTION CONTROL

MF Section Control delivers optimum accuracy by avoiding overlaps and gaps, ensuring products are applied precisely and only once on target.

Using MF Guide’s GPS position, MF Section Control precisely locates the machine and automatically controls up to 96 sections on ISOBUS compliant implements thanks to our AEF certified solution (TC-SC).

Straightforward and easy to use, two manual and auto modes allow to turn sections on and off to deliver inputs only once with ultimate accuracy : save inputs, save money and protect the environment.

Operating through MF terminals, a wide panel of settings is available to manage sections independently: adjust sections’ opening offset in field, over the worked area or on the headland, and adapt various factors such as boom selection or reversing speed threshold.

MF RATE CONTROL

MF Rate Control automatically varies the application rate applied by ISOBUS compatible implements in response to instructions delivered by a prescription map using georeferenced data.

This lowers input costs, enhances yields and protects the environment by ensuring inputs are tailored to match the exact requirements of the crop or soil and precisely applied to exact locations.

With the possibility to control up to 96 sections and 5 different products over 3 booms, it precisely targets the correct quantity of seed, fertiliser or sprays to where they are most needed.

Massey Ferguson offers AEF ISOBUS certified solutions to use and record georeferenced data by prescripting up to five products simultaneously thanks to the AEF certified Task Controller of the terminal (TC-GEO).

MF TASKDOC

Benefit from data you generate!

MF terminals benefit from a dedicated Task Controller to easily create, record and transfer activity tasks (TC-BAS). More than a data recording system, the Task Controller embedded permits to create a perfect communication between prescription maps, tractor parameters and ISOBUS implements settings, to optimize the job performed.

Valuable, useful data captured during operations is easily transferred, managed and shared to selected partners using MF Task Doc and Task Doc Pro software. Easy and intuitive to use, this records a wide range of data from tractors and implements that can be seamlessly transferred for further use in farm management software.

Data can be also shared between different machines and most Farm Management Information Software using a choice of secure platforms, including PTx Farm Engage. For those running mixed fleets, this ensures complete compatibility as well as the ability to share information with trusted partners.

MF task doc Basic

Task Data files generated and stored in the MF terminals can be transferred via USB in ISOXML 3 & 4 formats to be compatible with all FMIS. In the opposite situation, save time and enjoy comfort by creating all your tasks, field boundaries, waylines, prescription maps and agronomic details, from the office, and import them via USB next time you board your machine.

MF task doc PRO

MF Task Doc Pro offers the ultimate transfer and sharing method : wireless. It facilitates transfer operations, optimises data transfer and storage safety to avoid data losses, and allows various hosts to share job’s data.

Send a planned task to a single machine, to your whole fleet, or share job done from a tractor to another to link seeding activity to the previous soil preparation performed ; everything is possible with our Ready for PTx Farm Engage FMIS solution. Sharing is near real-time performed so visible and ready to use next time you start your machine.

Proactive Alerts

AGCO and Massey Ferguson provide Proactive Alerts for MF Connect-activated machines. With a MF Connect activated fleet of machines, a customer appreciates this personalized and timely additional care.

The Proactive Alerts system uses telemetry data from the MF Connect activated machine.

Based on specific criteria, data signals confirm the machine needs assistance. When these conditions are met, a Proactive Alert is issued to the Beauvais Monitoring Centre and the local Dealer.

The Expert team engaged in this strategy monitors and delivers proactive alerts with high accuracy to the dealers thanks to the data raised from his machines’ network, and send diagnostic instructions that help dealers reducing times taken to fix.
