New dumper models by Wacker Neuson for more productivity, safety and comfort

When transporting materials, especially if uneven ground conditions are involved, dumpers are the helpers in demand on every construction site. For this, Wacker Neuson offers various wheel dumpers from one to ten metric tons payload. The portfolio is now expanded to include the new DW40 model. Additional options are also available for the DW20 and DW30 models. 

Wacker Neuson’s wheel dumpers can, with no problems, carry out a variety of transport tasks even on the most difficult of terrains. The articulated pendulum joint, which all models by Wacker Neuson are equipped with, ensures this. The dumpers are impressive with high off-road capability and traction – even on difficult ground surfaces – and are particularly maneuverable thanks to their compact design. With this, the dumpers can fully play to their advantages as compared to trucks in material transport. Thanks to numerous configuration options, such as various skip versions, cabin versions or safety options, the machines can be matched to individual customer needs. 

Drive off directly with hydrostatic all-wheel drive

“With dumpers, safety always plays a significant role. This applies particularly to our customers in the rental field,” explains Stefan Bogner, spokesman for management at Wacker Neuson Linz GmbH. “With our new 4-ton dumper DW40, we meet all applicable standards and offer our customers additional extras in safety, comfort, and performance.” The machine is equipped with a hydrostatic all-wheel drive, which means that no gear changing is required. This way, the operator can fully concentrate on his work. A continuously constant tractive force of zero to the maximum speed of 25 km/h, as well as the hydrostatic brake effect, round off the pleasant driving experience. Additionally, the modern engine technology meets the currently valid standards of the exhaust emissions standard stage V and allows fast driving, which makes material transport very efficient. The automatic ECO mode also guarantees minimum consumption with optimal power utilization, resulting in cost savings.

The safety extra

The large display for the front and rear-view camera, as well as the optimum arrangement of all the operator's controls, make the dumper DW40 intuitive to operate. At one touch, several functions can be carried out with the joystick operation concept, for example the joystick handle with change of travel direction and dump operation. This way, the operator keeps his left hand continuously on the steering wheel; with the right hand, he can easily operate the functions. This makes material transport safe, comfortable and efficient. In addition, the entry and exit have been optimized for even more safety: The principle of the three contact points is fulfilled, and the operator can get into the machine comfortably despite slopes or obstacles. The optional entry in signal color makes the steps and grab handle even more visible. 

More comfort – more efficiency

To prevent the machine from rolling away on a slope, the dumper DW40 is equipped as standard with a spring-loaded parking brake, which is actuated automatically as soon as the engine is switched off. The standard auto-stop function switches off the machine when it is not being used, thus resulting in a reduction of fuel required and CO2 emissions. The optional cabin ensures pleasant working in any weather and includes an air-conditioning system and heater, LED work lights and radio with hands-free intercom. The dumper can also be serviced quickly and easily, as the service points can be easily reached from the ground. In addition, customers benefit from extended maintenance intervals. 

New options for the DW20 and DW30 models

For the dumpers DW20 and DW30, with two and three metric tons of payload, available since Fall 2019, two additional options are now offered: The weather protection roof optimally protects the operator from sun and light rain. In addition, the high swivel tip skip is ideally suitable for bridging height differences in narrow spaces, as no space is required for maneuvering and positioning the machine. The modern tilt sensor connected with it warns the operator optically and acoustically about a possible instability and reduces the maximum travel speed of the machine as required. For the larger DW30 model, a concrete skip is also available, for which the dumping opening for concrete processing has been optimized. Additionally, the optional cabin ensures pleasant working conditions. Both machines are likewise equipped with a hydrostatic drive system and an articulated pendulum joint. The 36 kW engine for more demanding tasks, and the optional turf tires for ground protection applications, complete the newly available selectable options for the DW30 model.

Overall, Wacker Neuson offers its customers over 20 different models of track and wheel dumpers, which are characterized by simple and safe operation. This also includes the innovative Dual View Dumpers, which offer an unobstructed view in every direction with a 180° rotation of the entire operating and seat console, and two models with electric motor for emission-free work.
