Maximus Crushing & Screening are excited to announce the purchase of the former Tyrone Brick Factory on the outskirts of Dungannon. Tyrone Brick ceased trading in 2009, this was a hard blow for the area at the time with almost 100 people employed.
Maximus Crushing & Screening, with currently 90 employees, will consolidate all manufacturing activities to the new premises. The new 72 acre site will replace 2 factories in Coalisland. This expansion will not only improve our product and service but it will double our workforce in the next 5 years and create several new jobs in the area.
“This is a challenging move for the business, one we are very excited about” said Shane O’Neill, M.D. “However, it is one we have made with the future in mind and in a bid to strengthen our current position in the global marketplace. Our ever expanding product range has led to an exciting growth period for the company. The high volume of sales has led to us outgrowing our old premises. With more space, the new state of the art factory will allow us to increase production, stock more of the equipment you want, fulfill larger orders and improve dispatch efficiency. It’s all about not standing still and making the most of your reputation by getting better time and time again. In addition to the new facility, we have also invested in a new laser machine which will improve precision, efficiency and output for our customers”.
Mr Padraig O’Neill, production manager, added, “With a 250,000 sq ft production area, the building will be designed with lean manufacturing firmly in mind and will boast state of the art design, sales and testing facilities. The new factory is more accessible and has a lot more space than our current location. Now that everything is under one roof, communication will be much better”.
Production will commence in quarter 2 this year. We are very excited about whats to come!
